Chase Elliott is actually Harry Gant’s child as is Dale Jr and Michael Andretti. Pretty much all second generation racers and beyond are (even Michael Waltrip but Ol’ Harry denied that one fiercely). Head that conspiracy off at the pass.

@Gemma Gean Nope. Chase was gone, but his car got inspected. They hold the top 5 and a random car. They inspect first and second and the random one. If first fails and second passes he wins. If the top two fail third is subject to the same inspection. If he passes, he wins like this past weekend. If he fails they go to fourth.

Heard an interview with one of the NASCAR officials and he said that is how it is.
