Kirk, You’re apart of my childhood memories. Sitting in front of the TV every sunday with my late old man. Watching and pulling for you to give Dale what he needed to make it to victory lane. I appreciate those memories and doing what you’ve done for the best driver to ever strap into a stock car. You are quite the humble person but truly you’ve deserved this recognition of being in the Hall of Fame.

Glad Kirk got in. Loved his Dale Jr podcast episode. Was always a fan of him, and my Dad being a huge Dale fan, I’ve always tried to stay up on him.

Sucks his driving career didn’t get real far, but he had a shot, he tried it.

I very well remember Kirk Shelmerdine as a driver, but didn’t notice he was a crew chief to Dale Earnhardt until I read some articles about it.

I grew up in a very successful racing family in 1979 my father drove me from Moncton New Brunswick Canada to the Daytona 500 Dale Earnhardt LED 43 laps in that race and I became a fan for life I met Dale twice in my life and I cherish those very much Kirk Sheldon was the crew chief during my favorite era of Dale Earnhardt success I wish they had a Stay Together longer also Richard Childress is an amazing team owner thank you for that thank you listening to an old man’s thoughts it’s just a thought
