In reply to TheSDagger. The sharp breaking spots is what makes road course racing remotely interesting. Especially after a long straightaway. I 'm not sure what if any changes would have to be made to run "backwards" but my guess is it isn't as simple as it sounds. Wall openings and cutouts are designed for cars coming from one direction, running backwards exposes some really nasty sections.

I want them to run an Indy double header, saturday on the RC sunday on the oval. Have to use the same car, so teams have to make set up compromises or do you go all out to win 1 race. NASCAR apparently wants to go to 40 race season so adding some DHs is the best way to increase the races without increasing the weekend

Indy oval – tradition = Texas.
Change my mind. People forget how boring, uninspired, and poorly attended the races were by the end of the Indy oval. I’m not thrilled about watching boring racing for three hours for “tradition.”. The novelty will wear off and everyone will go back to not giving a crap.

Yeah, I agree that the road course is pretty good. Just to throw it away because drivers can’t avoid getting over their heads or a few freak issues with the curbs is a little unreasonable. Those who are clamoring for the oval are a part of a few unreasonable camps:
1) They hate any road course
2) They have amnesia and don’t remember how bad, boring, and poorly attended the oval races became
3) They hate anything new and like tradition for the sake of tradition
It is an inarguable, incontrovertible fact that the road course race is more competitive and entertaining than the oval
Hot take: Indy oval – tradition = Texas

I would love to see Kurt Busch in the booth this year since he really knows his stuff. Also loved it when Chad Knaus did some the of Xflinty races over the last few years. The one year him and Brad Keselowski did it together was awesome it was pure joke but also seriousness during live racing.

As for Indy would love Oval back but would love it alternated from year to year. Say odd years road course, even years oval or something like that. So it gives us fresh action each year
