How impressive was this win by William Byron?

Reply
Ric McClemons March 13, 2023 at 4:36 am

Not impressive at all. NASCAR gifted him the win with another unnecessary late race caution.

William Byron really just won back to back weeks because of last race yellows…

I feel like I’m watching Jeff Gordon. Winning back to back races

Jonah Adkins March 13, 2023 at 2:48 am

@Lorenzxy no, Larson was 2 seconds ahead with 2 laps to go

Reply
Ric McClemons March 13, 2023 at 4:38 am

Yep. NASCAR has become a joke, equivalent to “pro” wrestling

Reply
Lorenzxy March 13, 2023 at 6:15 am

@Jonah Adkins the caution came out with 4 to go

Brendan Smith March 13, 2023 at 3:01 pm

@Lorenzxy catching a car is one thing and passing is another plus Byron had lappers to get around I seriously doubt Byron would’ve won that race without the “caution”

Who remembers when the Iceberg said Byron needs to go on streak? Welp Byron has already won 2 races in a row. Pfft

Depends on if he falls off mid season like he did last year

I didnt watch the race, only the highlights. After ONE lap with the 5 and 24 up front I just knew that those two cars would be up front all day. So I forwarded the video to the final lap and there they were. And THAT is why I start to not like Nascar anymore. Cars rarely seem to pass eachother, they simply spread out and drive around in circles. Only cautions brings them back together. After 3 laps you already know which car is going to win. Why bother with 500 laps?

Harrison Burton is the worst case of nepotism in Nascar since Kyle Petty. Maybe even worse.

Reply

@Bryan Young Way way worse

Sounded like Clint didn’t like the really quick caution flag when Burton wreck. I agree with him.

It was completely right, his entire front right quarter panel was on the track

Anyone saying Harvick got robbed, get mad at his crew chief for calling for 4 instead of 2. He probably would have won.

Fun Fact: All 6 of William Byron’s Wins came at 6 different tracks with 6 different paint schemes

These manufactured finishes are ridiculous. Nascar will never change.

Reply
sgtpepper6379 March 13, 2023 at 2:54 pm

Since every race ends in “overtime” now, why not just have 2 lap races in the first place? That’s all that matters today. Always miraculously an accident with less than 10 to go. Also, these “safer” single lug wheels are proving to be quite the opposite…
