@Markus Göpfert In this instance Denny had zero reason to wreck Chastain. So should drivers be allowed to wreck another on the last lap just because they didn’t like the way they raced them the previous year?

They just need to be more consistent but then again, it’s like asking politicians not to be corrupt jerk faces.

There’s an good area I believe. If you bump someone out of the way, you shouldn’t get penalized. However, if you can tell based if telemetry or from the situation that was intentional, there should a penalty (probably on the track)

My only thinking about this is because Bubbas was after Noahs and nascar was tired of seeing it. Especially with how much it’s been happening in the trucks.

What part of the penalty process ????? Bringing a car that you know doesn’t meet spec …. or basically flat out wrecking someone for no reason.. I think it’s clear as for on track activities….. ( Boys have have it .. but DONT make us get involved ). Depends on how stupid you wanna be.

@TSholts I’m just saying what Hamlin said. It probably had something to do with last year too. I’m sure he’s frustrated that Ross has basically gotten away with everything he’s done to him and they hadn’t had a real conversation about it. Now they have and they called a truce. That’s what I don’t understand about this penalty because they’ve settled it between themselves

The problem is more where to draw the line. Imagine there is a tough fight for the championship in the last race and one driver collides with another and becomes champion.
A few months later, in an interview, he admits that he had no problem with the car at all, but that he collided on purpose. Should NASCAR then change the championship afterwards?
