He appeared to be trying to pick up spots but guessed wrong as to how much room he still had left to the corner. He may also have made a mistake in thinking this was a corner that wasn’t so sharp when its more of a hair pin. I don’t see an equipment failure, I see driver error. He blamed a broken toe link on the wreck but I’m pretty sure that came after the contact with Larson.

Yeah I agree. I think he just missed his braking point and then it was too late. Way too much smoke from lock up for it to be a brake failure.

@Dr. Smith  Larson came back down hamlin came up. From what I’ve gathered since this comment is Larson and Hamlin went to avoid the slow car and Larson went to dive into the pits thinking hamlin was pitting too when he wasn’t.
