I’m thinking the same thing. nascar has no clue what it’s about anymore. It used to be about the show. It used to be about entertaining the blue collar workers who couldn’t afford to shell out todays big bucks. Big bucks to placate nascars bean counters insatiable desire to fill their wallets and pocket books with mega money.

@Wade Adams Way more people in the stands for the dirt races than when they ran on concrete. Go back and watch the 2018 and 2019 spring races when they ran on concrete. Those stands were literally empty.

Say what you want about Bristol dirt but you can’t argue that it hasn’t improved ratings and attendance because it has and by quite a bit. Bristol died long before they put dirt on it. Pretty much ever since they reconfigured it and added progressive banking. That’s when attendance and ratings began to really plummet.

@Wade Adams In 2020 this track in spring had 2.9 mil viewers, in 2022 it got 4 mil. Pretty good ratings if you ask me, maybe not the racing though.

@aaronhobart6223  I went last year… it is a good time in person still. But for a so called best of the best series to run slower laps than local guys in 2 speed street stocks is not good
