They broke the rule as written. They shouldn’t win the appeal but I have no doubt it will at least be reduced because they are Hendrick.

Is it not strange that for the clash, Daytona, and Vegas they fit just fine but suddenly at the championship ending race track there suddenly not in “spec” anymore…… I’m not buying it. After the spanking Joey put on everyone they were definitely fudging parts to gain data for the final Pheonix race.

​@Christopher Pope the system doesn’t work that way. There’s no “bad batches” of parts. Everything is cataloged documented, and photographed along every step. The parts aren’t released to the teams for assembly until Nascar inspects and documents them. HMS has no case, the parts are too strictly controlled.
