Because it’s not about intent, it’s about safety, and drivers keeping their head on their soldiers. You can’t allow this. It’s unacceptable. Accidents can hurt, and kill too. Just look at Newman, even though that was entirely on Newman as he blocked, but still, when you ribe down the straight away hooking someone, then that’s unacceptable, accident, or not. The only time it should be is if a part on a car fails, but this is the exact problem with nascar. We have people racing each other over the limit of room all the time with 0 regard to that limit. It’s why we have seen si many accidental unnecessary crashes, like with drivers like Ross. Accidentally fencing people should gain you a drive through penalty alone imo, and it’s bs you can get away with it. It make sense to have a 2 strike rule, or 3, but if you fence someone 3 times, then that’s a driver through. I like Kyle Busch, but Charlotte is a great example of how drivers have no regard of the limit and he fenced several guys, and then almost guy internally hooked my Ricky, but saved it. If nascar wants to stop this rr hooking bs, then you have to penalize before it ever gets that far, and penalize the agressor. For example, chase said Denny ran into him 3 times if I recall, if that is true, then it would’ve been solved before chase hooked him, and he probably ran someone into the wall before that on accident at some point, so it’s likely it never would’ve went this far. Denny did it on accident and we can’t blame him for driving like that because look at the bs he dealt with last year, but this bs situation could’ve been avoided, and the whole “rubbing is racing” spew is blown too far out of proportion. I dont care if Dale Sr sent someone into the stands at one time, it’s old, and it should’ve been solved long ago to have a happy medium, and not extremes like 2015 Martinsville for example, or harvick at Dega that same year.

@James Zeigler I didn’t say Cindric wasn’t coming down. He was. and Dillon was drifting up. Like I said: It’s a racing incident. It’s a non-story and something that happens weekly. I’ve never seen so much discussion over something so small. :’D

You look at it from another angle and cindric is clearly coming down…

@Tristin471 Hamlin says everything is intentional unless he did it

Two drivers both edging into the same space unaware of each others intentions is how I read it. At Freeway speed Average Joe would stand a chance of avoiding contact, very small margins at race speed though.

Dillon not happy. Does Hamlin know about this? The Director of driver discipline might appeal.

Come on NASCAR be consistent suspend everybody that hook people or nobody
