@cak5171 I don’t really think that was the answer to the question. The Pocono crash crossed my mind when I first saw it, but it isn’t a direct answer to the question imo.
]]>I started to tear up when Kurt Busch reacted to “What did I give up to be here”. I hope he fully recovers and gets to race again.
]]>@DaveFerguson-vh5fn yea fair point. Nevertheless difficult to see him leave under the circumstances
]]>You could lowkey say the same thing about Kyle Busch recently too tbh. His move to Chevy & RCR definitely has people looking at him in a different & more respectable light
]]>I honestly think there might be more to it than that. His divorce happened not long before the wreck and not long after he flirted with retirement…… quite possibly Ashley gave him an ultimatum, he chose his career, only to have it taken from him anyway…… obviously I could be wrong but that’s the thing, nobody knows these guys 100% personally
]]>@calvincanada4723 Last year, he hit the wall at Pocono (I think) and got a concussion that ultimately led to the end of his racing career. This new car arguably doesn’t have the same capability to protect drivers from rear end collisions like the last generation of car which is likely why his concussion was so bad. So basically, he was having a career resurgence, had no plans to retire, and that was all taken away from him due to a new car not being as “safe” as the old one. So what did he give up, his career and ability to race again.
