@JackLikesTrackhouse it was still the dumbest move I’ve ever seen Nascar make
]]>@Matt C Certainly not perfect, but they do work in many situations. Worked great a Wilkesboro.
]]>@UptownG That same race also gave me a greater appreciation for camera exposure. I was always on the side that Martinsville 2015 was dark, but it definitely didn’t seem as bad as they said.
When they ended this race, it was like phone illuminate your entire face dark. I couldn’t make out the car numbers on the back stretch and its only a mile track. I came online after to fans having watched on TV saying it wasn’t that dark and it made me chuckle at myself.
]]>That was entirely for entertainment
]]>@Matt Cpretty tough with all the oils and chemicals layered in the track on top of all the rubber, they do a great job with track prep and such, but you can only do so much and that turns it into a slip in slide like wet clay
]]>They definitely downplayed that when watching from home, we all figured that, but not that much, good lord lol….
]]>@Matt C I also remember that qualifying for the British GP was red flagged one year because the track was too wet for the rain tires
]]>yeah there was an F1 race in like 2009 i think it was and even with rain tires the cars wouldn’t stick and all drifted off the track haha…so rain tires aren’t perfect lmao
