]]>@Jonathan Martin and where they would hit with any real speed in a head on collision are a shitload of tires….safer barriers exist on ovals because you can come careening in from the infield all the way to the top head on. Which isn’t gonna happen here at high speeds.
It’s almost like the type of race is important in determining what’s best. Safer barriers would decrease the width of the track by like 4 feet. Half a lane.
