That race was 100x better than I ever would have thought, what a badass drive from Shane, dude was hauling the mail and making the field look silly
He was in 4th most of the day. I wouldn’t say he made the field look silly.
If Bell or Tyler would of kept it together it would of been more interesting to see what happened.
@Taylor Woodard when it really mattered, when they restarted with 20 to go and he was in 18th after the caution jumbled the field that’s when he made the field look silly, dude was running laps almost 2 seconds faster than the next fastest and went from 18th to 2nd in less than 10 laps
saw his in car camera from when he was 13th, it was a show. No patience for small talk, he came, passed and never looked back. Haley was the one that fought the most during the penultimate restart, and he suffered an X like Michael Schumacher used to do. visibly faster than anyone today

The view of the city is very cool. if this track could be tweaked to have better passing zones I would like to see it come back.
The race went better than I ever could have expected. Shave van Gisbergen winning was the icing on the cake.
This race was far better than I originally thought it was gonna be, especially the last 25 laps or so. Extremely cool we got to witness Shane make history, being the only driver in the modern era to do this, and to be 8 tenths faster than everyone else in the field.
Also, shout out to Bilicki getting 23rd for McLeod, bro was good all weekend.
I give this race a 10/10 regardless even tho we were rained out. But congrats to SVG who just shocked nascar !
Easily imho one of the Top 10 Even Top 5 Greatest NASCAR Finishes of All Time. NASCAR really needed that. Congratulations on a beautiful win Shane Van Gisbergen! I hope Top Tier Teams sign him up when he comes fully to NASCAR. He’s going to be the next Juan Pablo Montoya and Marcos Ambrose of the 2020’s decade. Once again, great win Shane! Glad to see the #91 car win again after so many decades, and be the first driver to break a streak of winning in their first career start in over 60 years. Johnny Rutherford is still alive, and I hope he gives Shane the praise he deserves.

He won his first ever stock car race in his first and only start, and won the first ever street race. Im at loss for words.
Guys we have witnessed history today, not only Nascar’s first ever street course but also a driver with a 100% win ratio (for now). Been 60+ years since someone won there debut Nascar race… I just can’t believe he won
If you want to see just how good this guy is, go catch some v8 Supercars. The man can drive. Anything.

50mins test, practice session, and he wins being 0.8secs faster than anyone else. Theres about six supercars drivers that could come over here and contest for podiums, no sweat, but im not sure they could win on debut like that in the wet. awesome drive.

Everyone in NASCAR shocked SVG won but anyone following V8supercars and knowing what this guy is about shouldnt be surprised. Dude is a wheelman. Congrats to him!! IMO it was a really good race
When you’ve got a great wheelman who takes care of the car and the tires it’s hard to lose. What a performance by SVG and Project 91.
