The current car is so much closer to Supercar spec than when Ambrose came you can’t honestly make that comparison. For him to jump in and win is not a surprise, on a street circuit particularly.

@Guy Being a Guy NASCAR and Chicago have a three-year contract in which the city receives $500,000 this year, $550,000 in 2024, and $605,000 in 2025. The city will receive $2 per ticket sold and a percentage of net commissions on concessions and merchandise sales.

NASCAR invested more than $50 million in the Chicago street course, which is scheduled to host three races in three years. NASCAR estimates that it will generate. $113 million in economic impact and $3 million in tax revenue for the city. That compares to a $335 million citywide economic impact from the 2022 Lollapalooza festival that is week long.

If you watch his shifting hand at around 3:55 you’ll see him more than likely making a brake bias adjustment. THAT’S the speed secret. He does it all the time in supercars, sometimes corner by corner making extreme bias switch ups on the fly. Cool to see him doing that in a stock car too.
