You dont have time to think you just see an opportunity to slow the vehicle down and go for it.

I can’t imagine the helpless feeling. He made the right decision but I can’t imagine purposely hitting a wall that fast knowing it’s your only option.

It’s a road course, wrecks and issues don’t usually happen at high speeds on the straights, so there’s no need to have SAFER barriers.
