I feel that the 400 is viable and the fact that the track is now a much better venue than it was under the Hulman family.

It’s great “entertainment”. That being said, it’s only due to the wild restarts – after that it gets strung out and no different (in my opinion) than the oval, becoming a strung out strategy race. I love the history of the Brickyard and really want to see it back on the oval. Stock cars flying down the long straights into a 90 degree corner is just badass, even if it is hard to make passes. Not every race has to be 3 wide nonstop or have dive bombs every corner.

I never minded indy oval because of its history/spectacle.

Also I like the insanity of the road course races here. Watched so many of the oval races over the year and worked security there and saw its decline. If you want the oval you have to fix the core issues.

That would require getting rid of that fancy sports car suspension and making the cars not as durable

Kinda like bring it back for a couple years and see how it goes. Give it a couple years/chances to see how the next gen car react to it. If it’s successful, great they should keep it. If not, perhaps alternate it or keep only the road course.
