If we’re talking Knoxville TN, then I can see NASCAR going there as Knoxville is a midsize city market for racing, which means more television viewership and more attention, they should replace the spring Bristol race, it’s close to North Carolina, and Bristol Motor Speedway is another 2 hours north

Of course they’re not! They’d go international for completely different reasons. I’m saying that in Europe there are more dirt ovals than asphalt ones, so it might be easier to do a dirt race there. But that wouldn’t happen if there are no asphalt races there and no dirt races in the States. I’m just saying they should consider one or two if they come. Until when are you going to turn my words in my mouth and act like a complete troll? Either read my comments and try to understand all the reasons or don’t respond to me at all if you are going to never aggree with me!

]]>If NASCAR goes to Europe, they should consider dirt races there. Europe has ovals, but most of them are motorcycle speedway dirts. Maybe one or two could work for NASCAR. Question is if the lap on them really is half a mile, which is a must. The only well known asphalt oval in Europe is Lausitzring near Cottbus, Germany, but it’s questionable if a race on the “European Pocono” is possible. Yes, that track in fact has 3 turns like Pocono, and a triangular shape. It could make interesting races, but let’s not forget Alex Zanardi lost his legs on it, so safety might be a very long topic to discuss.
