RIP Ken Squier. Your iconic voice, your iconic calls and those you have mentored and developed into amazing announcers will never be forgotten. I guess there is one hell of a race up there that you must call with your former colleague Barney Hall that you have been taken from this earth. You will be heavily missed by the close friends and family, along with the NASCAR community. With heavy hearts, we bid you farewell Ken, till we get hear your voice again one day…

For me, in the 70s and 80s, Ken was the voice of NASCAR. We thank you, Ken, and your family for letting us have you all of these years. You could always tell he loved this sport and carried it with such respect.

Three of the best voices of racing are now gone but will NEVER be forgotten. RIP Ken Squire, Bob Jenkins and Benny Parsons. Listening to Ken call the Daytona 500 was like listening to Jim Ross in wrestling and Vin Scully in Baseball
