The 9 car did get in the owners championship but never made it to round 4 because of how bad round 8 was for the 9 team. 23 car was in driver playoffs but not owners. And idk who he kicked out in round 12. But going into the round of 8 he kicked the 19 out of owners championship but he got knocked out of owners championship battle as he didn’t make the top 4 in owners points.

He didn’t make the championship. He broke his leg and basicly had to win to get in after hooking Hamlin into the wall. Without that, he could have pointed his way in, but after his 1 race ban, he was in a must win. He came up 1 spot short at indy rc to McDowell. And had a shot at Glen but ran out of fuel putting him self a lap down or 2. He got got 3rd or 4th at Daytona for the last shot to make the playoffs. Then in round 12 and 8 he was plain just off. And in the championship race as a non playoff driver he just wasn’t there much.
