@@johnhaas2523 They’ve been working on the track steadily for a couple of years, so it might not take too much. And as far as raising money, that might not take too much work either, should people see the value in the speedway.

I mean they need the money but we haven’t erased race there. 2004 we came back in the truck series in 2013 but that was short-lived and they need the funding so NASCAR can come back to the rock
At this point, if IndyCar can’t get under control period, I’d be interested in seeing how Honda would do in nascar. The question is… what model would they choose? Accord? Civic? Who knows. If any case, Toyota had better be ready, and GM had especially better be ready, if they ever decide to actually compete.
@@97Thunderbirdbut that would make more sense in Xfinity since they have the supra. Accord would make sense in cup because of the Camry being a direct competitor..its the same as the Camaro vs Mustang
NASCAR needs to do whatever it has to do to hold on to the existing fan base. Bringing these old school tracks back is a step in that direction. Once the decline stops then worry about the new fans. I would rather see smaller grandstands packed than larger ones empty.
It’s obvious the charter system has been one huge fiasco and like others have said it needs to go. Take the top 43 drivers and go with it and cut out all the other gimmicks including the stage brakes, NASCAR needs to be worried about keeping it older fan, base and filling seats, especially in the shorter tracks that most of us old school fans like myself grew up on rather than worrying and pandering to 18-year-olds who really don’t care about Call Car culture.
I’m a clown because the cup races put about as many fans in the seats as a Busch race of the late 90s? It’s so bad now they can’t even list how much the winnings for a race is. Drivers are making a fraction of what they use to. It’s the only sport where salaries have went down. Something is not working
1. Alex Bowman’s paint Scheme is very reminiscent of his 2021 scheme. I personally like it!
2. Having Honda join NASCAR would be a major deal, and I think I would be for it. The question then becomes what model they would use?
3. Rockingham back on the Cup Series schedule would be big, and we can once again have the Subway 400 and they can start Cup racing once more.
4. I am of the opinion that the Charter system has run its course. Nobody wants to see a team that is 15 seconds off the pace lock themselves into the field. If you want my opinion on the matter, and I told some of the higher-ups in NASCAR in a letter this as well, it’s best to have the 43 fastest drivers in qualifying make the race. There should be no top 35 rule, no playoff or Charter system, no gimmicks or nonsense.
But beyond those points, I hope everybody has a very happy holiday season, and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
1. Ally paint schemes are the standard.
2. The Accord model if Honda joins.
3. Bring The Rock back!!
4. I think the Charter cap needs to increase to 40.
Rockingham at this point is a long shot. If it took North Wilkesboro 29 years to return to the scene (at the expense of Auto Club), it’ll take Rockingham even longer to get back because TexARSE took its date away and it’s not going anywhere for next season. A track that didn’t deserve it got the ax, and a track that did didn’t. Also, either NASCAR or SMI own the tracks, with the exception of Indianapolis and Pocono, they don’t like 3rd parties that much, and that’s what Rockingham’s owner is. Just another setback to deal with
As someone on Twitter replaying to a save the speedway post I seen if Marcus’s dad was still alive and running speedway Motorsports North wilkesboro would still be falling apart and my opinion if wasn’t for the American recovery act giving money for it Marcus wouldn’t have spent 1 dime to fix it up
I could see the teams doing some extra pace laps at Daytona. After the pace car pulls off, run a lap or two at caution speed to show who puts on the show.
Well, this could get interesting! Wonder what the teams have up their sleeve for showing their displeasure towards NASCAR? I can’t really see them mass start and parking or even boycotting races, but I also wouldn’t say its a 0% chance either that something like that happens either. Be interesting to see what they come up with!
Not exactly an apples to apples comparison but when I was a kid, I spent most of my Saturday nights either watching Hee Haw or sprint cars and stock cars at Riverside Speedway in West Memphis, AR. One night one of the more popular but mid-pack drivers showed up late due to traffic, mechanical issues or XYZ. The promoter said he could not even start shotgun for a heat race and would not be allowed to run at all. Well his fellow competitors weren’t having any of this so they all parked their cars nose to tail on the front stretch and told the promoter, if he ain’t racing, neither are we. They abandoned their cars and walked back to the pits. The promoter eventually gave in and the race went on without further incident. The Saturday night show 45ish years ago at a 1/4 mile dirt track certainly isn’t NASCAR but it was something that has struck with me. Now to NASCAR, they have always ruled with an iron fist all the way back to Big Bill. Drivers and owners that band together and Buck the “man” will be harshly punished. That’s just how it is. I hope they try something just because of its entertainment value.
They should have the ROCK (Dwane Johnson) come out and give the command to start engines saying THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO NASCAR…the way he does it at the WWE
Although it’d probably never happen. It’d be amazingly hilarious to see 1/2 if not 3/4 of the field park their cars on the front stretch, then walk to the pits like Josh Williams.

Please bring Rockingham back!!!
Needs major work yet and not enough money

My favorite track that I’ve been to by far!!

Civic is their more sporty and best selling car
Civic Type R is the lead badass of Hondas line up.
Definitely accord since the Camry is the rival…it would make sense….

Yeah I see that
Congrats on the Faction46 announcement!! Also shoutout to the designer of Bowman’s 2024 paint scheme. He used to be a designer for some F1 teams.
PLEASE LET ROCKINGHAM RETURN!
Needs lots of work and Improvements yet and owners will have to spend some money themselves not just form the American recovery act

Before you know it NASCAR will own all team rights and their won’t be owners anymore cause of the money. They’ll hire their own drivers.
Hahaha
Who are we kidding? They already “own “ them. Voltaire famously said, “To find out who rules over you, figure out who you may not criticize.”
I would love for The Rock to come back, and for all three major NC speedways to be together in the Cup Series.
Hahaha
It seems like the Honda quote was really just corporate pressure to put on indycar. Would be super cool to see Honda in the sport though.

Hey eric before the clash/speedweeks you should make a video based on the driver transfers, spotter and crew chief transfers and new teams
Jayski has all of that news and a team chart unless you’re lazy
