VW is a stretch, since they are going full in on electric racing after dieaelgate.

Audi (a brand also owned by VW) would be more likely to enter, but I don’t see why they would enter.

I’d like to see it. I was always skeptical when Toyota first came in but it grew on me. A fourth brand would be cool. I even think they could tweak the All-star format with a foreign (Toyota/Honda) vs American (Ford/Chevy) type stipulation with enough buy in. I grew up with Dodge and Pontiac so more manufacturers is fun and like seeing the different bodystyles.

This won’t be the first time Honda is rumored to enter NASCAR. But it honestly wouldn’t surprise me. VW is another wildcard they are the #1 selling brand in the world and are looking to clean up their image after the whole dieselgate thing…….

Aka, the exact stuff that traditional sports did and what NASCAR avoided like the plague in the 90s and 2000s. Audiences left because NASCAR became the very thing they used to counter. Correction 2: It’s not gatekeeping if it’s the truth. You don’t have to like it, you don’t have to agree with it, but you do have to live with it.
