]]>You are right, NASCAR is not saving the teams money. When you have to pay around $400,000.00 for a car before you drop the motor in it, that is not cheap.
I believe they are buying their cars from a company called ILMORE in Michigan and any replacements parts I believe must be bought from them too. I was told this though a friend, who is a friend of a current Cup Crew Chief back in 2021 when they were switching from Stock cars to Trans-am cars/Indy cars/ hybrid cars that was coming in 2022. This source is still a Crew Chief for the same team. What do you wanna bet that NASCAR has a stake in the company in Michigan?
