I enjoy Kevin Harvicks commentating. Reminds me of Ned Jarrett factual. I have talked to Rick Mears several times and he and Kevin very similar Bakersfield California guys.

I feel the drivers were asking for tire fall off, meaning loss of speed. Not tire fall apart, which is what Bristol was.

I find it funny how people are baffled about the tires
Dropping tons of dirt on a solid surface, the running cars on it to grind it in. Didn’t expect any different

I think Kevin’s take on this is 1000% correct. Keep the tire and let the teams adjust to it and the next race will probably show slightly better wear but still force the drivers to figure out how to manage their tires to have speed later in the run.
