Also the reason people say Larson is so good is because of the 10 win year they forget in the gen 6 car if you had the fastest car you could win a lot Harvick won 8 or 9 in 2021 I think Busch won 7 in like 2020 or something but winning was easier with a fast car in the past

He had his breakout year in 2021 but in modern NASCAR having a great season means you won 5 races or got a fluke championship

As a Byron fan I knew he was really good especially after 2021 he was the youngest driver with 10 straight top 10s now in 2024 he’s the first driver since Gordon in the 90s to be the first repeat winner in three straight years last year under the Winston cup format Byron would be champion with a really good championship year unfortunately NASCAR rewards mediocrity and blaney is a champion instead of the best team
