I noticed how when shr did their rebrand (with their logo) preece’s equipment didn’t get it. His car cover didn’t, his toolbox didn’t- etc. I wonder if this is part of preece’s likely departure at the end of the year.
Preece has been terrible in Cup since joining SHR.

Yep, he hasn’t been preforming to the standards that his teammates have set so he’s most likely going to be let go sometime soon
I think they don’t like Preece because of the “reserve” treatment he got.
Unless Ford wants Chase Briscoe to stays with Ford so for that reason he could be out at SHR instead of Ryan Preece, I would actually see Chase Briscoe replace Harrison Burton for I’m leaning towards it is a Ford call to me.
Y’all don’t get me wrong , I think Preece has plenty of talent and can drive. But something doesn’t add up, is he trying to get out of a contract, is the team trying to get him to leave, is the owners trying to sell the character???? Something is off with this whole deal. The trouble that they had in Dover that was on the team and that kinda mistake should not be happening in a top team.
I’m not trying to be funny, but his head might still be spinning from the Daytona wreck.

Agreed I was just thinking that the other day. He definitely heard the peanut gallery over the off season. Him and Elliott aren’t doing burn outs lately, talking about respecting the car, like a jockey in a horse race.

Plot twist JRM buys 2 charters from SHR and Berry and Gragson drive for JRM I’m sure this is not gonna be the case but fun to think about
With charters going for 40 Million a pop…I don’t see Dale Jr. Going for 80 Million. He didn’t want to pay 40…he definitely won’t buy 2.
There’s also no guarantee as to what the charter status is going to be going forward…which also makes laying out that kind of money for a charter a very big risk. Jr. has also said he’d like to go cup racing…but financially it has to be right. I also don’t think he’d go cup racing with just one car…he’d probably want to be at least a 2 car team…but not at 80 million for 2 charters…so don’t think we’ll see Jr. in cup anytime soon.
I agree and there’s legs to Jr. exploring it with Stewart Haas. I believe Eric mentioned right here on his channel a few months ago. There’s also a good chance Stewart moves on entirely and Haas merges with Front Row for a top tier 4 car ford team. RFK expanding, Junior Motorsports, Trackhouse, are all exploring options amongst other teams. I don’t think Berry and Gragson landing at SHR was a coincidence, there’s a ton of familiarity and sponsorship relationships between the 2 teams
I think most teams that are looking to expand…are going to watch the market…and probably not do anything until the Charter situation is fully known. They’d be crazy to spend that kind of money for a charter…without knowing if they’ll be permanent.
Based on those Mahindra commercials, which are hilarious, SHR needs to keep Briscoe.

Which baffles me that he’s in the hot seat. One third into the season, 1 top 5 and 5 top 10’s is impressive.
Preece to the 21 . He’ll improve the team to be a consistent 30th place team.

I may be wrong but it seems like Stewart Haas started going down hill when Tony Stewart got involved in NHRA.
And when Gene Haas began spending more time with the F1 team (which is the worst in that series).
Yeah he doesn’t even seem interested in nascar anymore. Seeing Tony Stewart in a nascar interview is like seeing the pope.
IMO, when SHR left their alliance with HMS and went to Ford on their own that was their undoing. SHR is not anything more than just another tier team below Penske and RFK.

It’s not going to be an Easter egg hunt at all It’s going to be so f****** easy because there’s this thing called the schedule. I remember the ’90s When I first started watching I had no idea what channel the races on or anything and was channel flipping and that was in the summer of 98 and I believe the race that week was on tnn The Nashville Network
This is why nascar is rapidly dying as a sport. Incompetence from the top to the bottom in nascar management. It’s incredible how they always make the worst decisions possible.

Berry has had some solid runs. He took the lead at Bristol. Other than Talladega Gragson hasn’t sniffed the lead. Gragson has had a great year so far. They are both having a solid year. Ryan Preece has talent but it just didn’t work out at SHR.

It’s unfortunate because Preece despite a rough beginning to this season has improved that 41 by a fair amount since taking over. It may just be a case of poor timing given the Ford talks, Herbst finally coming into his own, and of course Custer winning the Xfinity title/Custer’s father being SHR’s President
I’d personally wait because if not for that penalty, Preece would be 21st versus Berry in 23rd. If it does come down to Preece’s departure, I’d call on Wood Brothers to take in another veteran to correct that sinking ship since DiBenedetto left in 2021
If I were SHR, downsizing to a 2 car team keeping Chase and Noah makes the most sense.
Move Noah to the 4, 4 and 14 are SHR’s most successful cars
It’s going to be Tony Stewart’s team and there’s going to be a merger with front row to make a new 4 car Ford team
As we used to say in the Marines, “Some poor bastard doesn’t get the word” It happens in every organization. It’s a hard business.
