We haven’t had a flip at Michigan in decades
Since the 90s? I think Johnny Benson was the last flip that happened here
Facts! Last time I believe it was Johnny Benson in the 90s
@@D_Alleyne2005Actually Elliott Sadler flipped in a practice crash in 2000. Back when he was a rookie driving for the Wood Brothers.
@@D_Alleyne2005 Sadler 2000.
@@Andythememer420 Rookie in ’99.
Kenseth at Dega ‘16 anyone?
THATS WHAT I SAID LOL
your not wrong tho
Exactly what I was thinking
*MATT KENSETH!*
Newman Dega ’09
Roof flaps just forgot to roof flap
Nascar has some explaining to do
The roof flaps did not open at all.
0:07
he was up in the air by the time they could, look at the car next to him, they deploy and he is allready half flipped over
The other car next to him was causing enough of an aero issue to not allow the flaps to open properly.
to be fair i wouldn’t expect them to in that situation, so many aero factors at play there. just got unlucky
The hood flaps didn’t open neither
But he earned his pilots license
The fact the flaps never deployed needs to be investigated. We haven’t had a non-restrictor plate blowover in 14 years, glad Sieg is okay.
There was restrictor plates but this is the first blowie in a while that wasn’t at a superspeedway
It’s because of the car pushing him and kinda blocked the air from pushing them up
Looks like he got pushed over by the 81 and the airflow was disrupted . Doubt any mechanical malfunction occured
it did go up it was just to quick for the flaps to go in action cause of the sudden force that the air got under and just took it up and over
@@Sidthekid9787 nascar has to ban that lol
AND AROUND SHE GOES, INTO KENSETH
And into the wall, HARD
If he hadn’t have walked away I wouldn’t say…”That was Awesome”
Same here looked like an NR2003 crash
This kinda reminds me more of Kyle Larson’s 2019 ‘dega flip; especially because a #81 Toyota was involved.
And both drivers that flipped are named Kyle
@@Ronald_Jones huh… I don’t know why I didn’t think of that
Holy crap that looked like something from nr2003
Absolutely scary incident! I’m glad Kyle’s ok!
2024 has been wild for the xfinity series
Also in my opinion we need a little more power i would say about 100 housepower more and this would have been a pretty interesting race
There’s a brief moment where the 81’s nose got underneath the 28, even though these aren’t the typical speeds you’d see a blowover, that small gap created was just enough to get air underneath Sieg.
The roof flaps not deploying didn’t help.
wild ride for Kyle Sieg hope hes okay
Absolutely amazing glad Kyle is ok just shows how much safety engineering NASCAR has been put into these cars if this would have happened id say back in the 70s 80s or even the 90s before the neck restraints were put into the cars it would have been questionable if Kyle would have survived best of luck to all of the drivers take care.
I’m just happy that Sieg didn’t get hurt
Props to the cameramen at NBC. Every single angle kept the car in focus and in the frame. Which is way more than can be said about the other network.
I don’t seem to remember the last time there was a flip at Michigan in the Xfinity series, but I’m glad Kyle Sieg walked away from this scary incident on the last lap of the race.
I picked a good day to attend my first xfinity race
Another happy landing
I miss you
YO TNTMan93 And Yes Sir Finally A Blow over in Michidega.
High flying. That car looked like it was papier mache. Whoo!
