NASCAR fans may have reached the light at the end of the gaming tunnel. Today it was announced that NASCAR will partner with IRacing to create new console NASCAR games starting in 2025. With this Motorsport Games will transfer the license over to IRacing and they will begin the creation of the game immediately. We look at the news and see how this will change the scope of the NASCAR console scene and what they can do to meet fans expectations heading into 2025. IRacing will make a new console NASCAR game!!! Motorsport Games gone!!!

The NASCAR console gaming scene is definitely in flux, and today I want to look at the lead up to this current era. This of course would be the NASCAR Heat series that spanned from 2016 through 2020. While this series got itself a good amount of criticism at the time many may look back on the series now with what we know with rose tinted glasses. With 5 games being made in this span as well, we have a pretty decent scale to look at and compare each with each other as well as with other NASCAR games. So with that being said, let's look into it and ask the big question. Was the NASCAR Heat Series that bad?

The NASCAR gaming scene has been on life support for years now and the main culprit for it has been none other than Motorsport Games. Motorsport Games has dragged the NASCAR name through the mud with possibly the worst video game and video game launches ever and it only has gotten worse since then. But yesterday respected gaming journalist Mike Straw basically announced that NASCAR and Motorsport Games are done as partners exclusively, that the incompetence has been too much now for NASCAR. So, is this the end of Motorsport Games?

The NASCAR video game scene is one of the saddest in all of sports. With it now going on nearly half a decade since the last functional NASCAR game those around the NASCAR community have a rightfully growing impatience with the current company Motorsport Games. It now seems though, that NASCAR itself is starting to feel the same sentiment towards the failing company and now they want answers. NASCAR wants answers from Motorsport Games.
