After an eventful few weeks of racing all over the map of the United States NASCAR has made the best of some not so great situations. The 3rd year of Nashville may be the best yet, Chicago offered record viewership, and Atlanta had one of the best superspeedway races in years. This is all on top of many changes the sport has made that have ended up working as well as an optimistic looking future that has not looked this good since the early 1990s. So today I want to look at this in both the short term and the long term and share a bit of that optimism with all of you today. This is how NASCAR has great momentum right now!

Over the past 5 or so years NASCAR has been upping its presence on road courses. While for many years they ran two races at these types of tracks with Sonoma Raceway and Watkins Glen International they have since made it a much bigger piece of the NASCAR schedule pie. Now though many are saying that the series has oversaturated itself with road courses. With that today we look into this and see what could be done over time to possibly change the sport for the better with/without these tracks. So let's look into NASCAR's road course problem. How they can fix it?

NASCAR Xfinity Series To Be Streaming EXCLUSIVE?!

NASCAR may be pulling the band-aid off quickly when it comes to jumping head first into the streaming wars. Adam Stern from the SBJ reported that NASCAR is looking likely to dive in to an exclusively streaming only agreement for the NASCAR Xfinity Series. This would be a huge change of pace as NASCAR would in large part be abandoning TV to try to get a head start over other sports leagues and racing series to try to pick up more young viewers of the sport. So, the NASCAR Xfinity Series to be streaming exclusive?!
