Kurt didn’t break a rule though, he stayed in the car until the medical team arrived. Completely safe 😛

Michelle whitfield & Jonathan Martin why don’t you two get a fucking life instead of arguing bullshit facts that are wrong about a fucking race Dale was let go because he was checked out AND his car was fine kurt was both not checked out and wouldn’t have been able to race anyway he was going back to the garage for the rest of the race anyway so it really didn’t matter that he was told he couldn’t race because his car was fucked anyway

Shaun Strasser March 6, 2022 at 9:07 pm

@Jonathan Martin it’s because of Earnhardt doing that is why the rule was changed that if you are being tended to by medical staff while in the car or out of the car while on track you are not allowed to drive the car back to the pits

when steve park had the steering wheel come off his car under caution it caused him to turn hard left and he was t-boned hard by larry foyt and they had to airlift park to the hospital. its serious stuff and amazing that jr didnt get hurt or at least wreck when it happened. thats why jeff was amazed

Well in that case he was giving them space just something broke on his car… Given this is a joke video it probably would have worked though.

Brody Cooper February 11, 2019 at 1:26 pm

I know *RIGHT!*

Reply
Kuma III April 16, 2019 at 4:24 pm

@scottthewaterwarrior juan’s safety truck crash would work better because the rule states that the driver slow down which is something juan never did

Reply
Frederick Eshleman September 11, 2019 at 11:55 pm

I still blame Juan for that wreck because his dumbass jerked the car and probably caused something to break

Reply
Sgv_Sth July 4, 2020 at 3:58 am

Honestly, McDowell was filling everyone and just didn’t see the truck until it was too late. As I recall the NASCAR hauler meeting never handed out any penalties, but they weren’t happy with everyone driving next to the wall.

1:37 the white car drifting in pit road should be rewarded greatest save ever!

Reply
Blown_engine June 5, 2021 at 3:55 am

@Kuma III that really technically wasn’t a save because he slow down so much to the point he was almost stopped on the track but that white car saved it while still going really fast

Reply
Kuma III June 5, 2021 at 4:22 am

@Blown_engine what

Reply
Blown_engine June 5, 2021 at 3:32 pm

@Kuma III That Jimmy Johnson video that you posted I think really wasn’t a save because he slow down so much he was pretty much stopped on the track but with this white car he didn’t lose a lot of speed

Reply
Kuma III June 5, 2021 at 6:00 pm

@Blown_engine uh, it doesn’t really matter what speed you’re going it’s still a save lol

@Kaleb DeGroot

More like the mid-60s, when they switched to all the cars using Ford Galaxie frames as their basis. That’s ‘Gen 2’ and the birth of NASCAR as a silhouette series.

This same thing happened to me in my limited modified dirt car. But I was in the middle of a pack of cars and we were all trying to get one of the top five transfer spots running in the B Main event.
A dirt track car is built to turn left and you ain’t gonna hold it straight with your hand on the shaft. Sure enough the car went left and about 6 cars including mine were taken out.
I crawled out of the car after the wreck with my steering wheel in my hand.
Another driver asked if my tie rod end cane off. I said “yeah, yeah it sure might have done that.”
That was my last race and the only race my young son remembered from back in the day.
I parked the car and started saving for my kids college fund with the money I was spending at the racetrack and on race cars.
Kinda sad thinking I ended my racing that way. But it is what it is.
