This man never quits
Gotta love the no-give-up persona of the Intimidator. Giving the team precious points when most wouldn’t even think about looking back at the car once they get into the ambulance. I’m not sure if I would’ve liked him or not if I were alive in the 90s but I easily would have had a ton of respect for the guy. Definitely an individual who deserves recognition for so many reasons. Long live the legend of Dale Earnhardt!
Was a great sport back then, I miss it.
A man amongst men. Forever The Man #3
Hgy fyi trrff
The greatest there ever was and the greatest there ever will be.
After we lost him , nascar has been on a downhill slide and still falling.
The NASCAR of today is a pale vanilla version of what used to be a great sport!!!
Word
@Orion 77 please david pearson was twice the driver petty was if he’d had raced as many races as petty did he’d have 250 wins
It wasn’t all Dale. All of nascar’s new rules and restrictions has really made it a lot less fun.
I have not really watched it ever since
Dale and Jeff were truly friends and that’s respect
That was Earnhardt s fault he hit the wall im not a Gordon fan just saying
DALE AND JEFF ARE MY BOYS LOVE THEM BOTH WITH ALL MY HEART
@slab busterRTR the fact you can look at this footage and think its Earnhardts fault tells me you have no idea how air flows around these cars
It was Dale’s fault, but Larry Mac said it was Larry’s fault because that car was terrible in traffic all day. He said it was so pushy it cost him the win.
Only Dale Earnhardt could get away with being able to get back into the car and continue.
That’d never happen today….
@Jeff Bacon If they keep putting new stupid rules and regulations they are.
Nah he raced in an era where the drivers were tough as nails and not big babies and nascar didn’t micro manage every tidbit detail. There were plenty of drivers who crashed up until the 90s who would get out, check the damage and get back in and drive away. The only significant difference to this was that he got in the ambulance and then got back out. Other than that it occurred fairly regularly
@Austin C. the good old days when a small crash could’ve killed the most popular man in the USA
@Jeff Bacon yes they are or else we would still have Road America and pay less attention about Chase and Bubba
I think that they changed the rule after that race
He was the GREATEST! Never will be another Big E!
I was sitting in the stands at the entrance to the pits that day and spit up my beer when I saw Earnhardt’s wrecked car come around into the pits under it’s own power. One of the most memorable moments in racing I’ll ever remember witnessing…
It truly was one of those “What the…” Moments! I woulda never expected Dale to get back out of the Ambulance, get back in his Car, and finish the race. That wasn’t just amazing… that was Mind-blowing!!!!!
I was also at this race ,wow it was awesome to be there to see this.
@John k how did he die
@Jeffy Stocker crash, it’s all over yt if you just search up Dale Earnhardt crash
This guy was something else! Truly miss him…
The last of the truly tough guys in nascar
Dale was one of the greatest drivers to ever sit behind the wheel of a cup car. Love him or hate him, the man could drive.
Dale was one of the *dirtiest* drivers to ever sit behind the wheel of a cup car. FIFY
He was truly an incredible man!
The most Dale Earnhardt thing Dale Earnhardt did lol. God I miss tht man.
Yea…
If only that happened in 2001…
Well said. I miss him too
@Frank Morreale United your new mmuuluyy
No, wrecking anyone that he could hit is the most Dale Earnhardt thing he could do…
Legendary…. never will there be another like him.
He still is my favorite, miss you Dale.
Dale got more media attention after every race than the winner. Legendary
That’s a legend right there! In 97, he finishes the race with that car. One year later in 98, he finally wins his first and only Daytona 500
What a legend! We were so honored and amazed watching him!
