It was great to see McDowell win! Always love the underdog!

@Merlin Been It’s NASCAR and it’s the Daytona 500. When it comes down to those final laps, you’ll do what needs to be done to get the win. Everyone is going to be bumping & drafting off of each other down the stretch. That has ALWAYS been the case in racing in general. Even more so in restrictor plate races. McDowell did nothing wrong.

Busch obliterated Keselowski, then Cindric came in and annihilated Busch. Those guys took the hardest hits.

@Justin Connor Yeah I don’t like Kyle Busch but I was genuinely worried with how long it took him to get out of his car.

So happy everyone’s okay, especially Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski and Bubba Wallace. Congratulations to Michael McDowell on the upset win!

That’s how these races go. 95% nothing and at the last 5% chaos. Happy for Michael. Great win for him and that team.

idk, they barely did the single file bs last year, was lowkey surprised to see this tn

Reply
Mike Keller February 15, 2021 at 2:29 pm

@Joey G it was because 15 cars were wrecked on lap 15 lmao, if that wreck didnt happen, i bet there would be less single file

Reply
Joey G February 15, 2021 at 7:10 pm

@Mike Keller ofc, if there was 30+ cars it wouldve been great

Reply
Dalton D. February 15, 2021 at 9:43 pm

Not true
Fall Dega race in ’20 barely had single file
And the 500 last year was the same
How much of a fan are you lol

Can we appreciate Ryan Preece’s dodging abilities in this race? lol He got clipped in this last one, but still limped it across the line.

@Keith Miller Jr I’ve never really been able to sit through a race but I did watch the end of the 2019 500. Watching Preece wheel his way through two or three big wrecks made me an instant fan

Thankful to be seeing that drivers involved in the final lap crash were more or less physically ok.
Quite a testament to the safety engineering NASCAR has in place.

EEK!! That large explosion is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen in a Daytona 500 finish since the end of the 2001 Daytona 500 race! My dad and I saw this race on TV last night and we were shocked! It’s great to know that everyone involved is alright, but next year’s Daytona 500 should have a much better ending.
