@ViewyFFA All of you guys just obnoxiously good on loose and asphalt surfaces, huh.

Reply
Jeremy Clarkson August 23, 2022 at 10:23 pm

@ViewyFFA In Florida the roads are alright, but it rains a ton and you gotta learn to keep it straight while hydroplaning

Reply
Nakkiteline August 24, 2022 at 9:15 pm

@Jeremy Clarkson But your roads are straight. In Finland there’s no straight roads, even biggest motorways have surprisingly steep corners, you have to turn much more when driving here, thats why europeans are better drivers in general 😀

@WhoIsMaverick Kimi Raikkonen will do some rally skills there. That would be too important for him

Respect to Kimi. He had an impressive run.

Reply

I feel like you’ve gotta finish at least more than half the race in order for your run to be “impressive”

Reply
Skyhawk Heavy August 24, 2022 at 5:25 am

@Bogdan Mihai I never said that F1 was not the best from a tzch perspective. Obviously it is. I meant that if I were a pro driver, F1 would not be my ultimate goal. They are so many categories where you can fight because the cars matter less than the driver’s skills.

Michael Sprague August 24, 2022 at 11:40 am

@Spyke0511 1 you can feel however you want.

Reply

@IkLms you’re pathetic. I’m an F1 fan and this typical elitist mentality is such a turn off for potential new fans to our sport.

He had a sick run going and was running top 10 on merit in the highest nascar series that’s crazy

Reply
mattia toselli August 25, 2022 at 9:49 pm

@TC Johnson yeah let us compare a driver at the first race in a new series, old, that does it for fun, to a pro full time seasoned and young driver

Pretending kimi raikkonen is a rookie.

@Masked Gamer Open Wheel Champion AJ Allmendinger moved from open wheel to NASCAR and closed wheel racing. He’s still good in 2021 in a lot of the series he is racing in.

Noooo why always Kimi, he had such a great race. Unlucky as always, hope this isn’t already his last cup start. He has great potential.

He ran all of Stage 2 in the Top 10, battled with the last 2 champs (Elliott and Larson) and more than held his own. Bummer it ended that way but a great run!

@BirdzBlack yeah, I got nothing in dealing with it, but whats with this shitty attitude of undermining other sports you dont watch, why cant have this consensus that both sports are “unique” and requires its “set of unique talent”. Please bro, dont deal with anything, just acknowledge others and move on.

@Jimmy Pownall let me guess you are q f1 fan to die right?
For the answer you give me

Reply
Bell Uh-1 Huey September 2, 2022 at 1:29 am

@18IMMORTAL CODM I mean yall F1 fans undermine every single Motorsports in exsistance. F1 is the Pinacle of racing in terms of speed and who gets the better car out on the track. 20% driver, 60% car, 18% strategy, 2% luck plus other stuff. I swear if you pull Goatifi or Lando into a Red Bull or Ferrari they’re gonna get some wins.

You’re witnessing atleast a 3x F1 champ right here, one of the all time greats. Yes he’d have atleast 3 chips if it weren’t for McLarens terrible reliability issues. Regardless, what a legend!

@Piotr Łopata He also finished worse than Ty Gibbs has in any of his cup series races including his first one, which he had 0 experience for

Reply

@Jordan Fires coz kimi got destroyed

Reply
Jordan Fires August 24, 2022 at 10:59 am

@crown. What about when he didn’t? Started 22nd and finished 27th in his xfinity race, a lower racing tier, and in the 3rd tier finished even worse, 31st from 15th. Him being bad in NASCAR is not new

Reply
Nakkiteline August 24, 2022 at 9:25 pm

@Jordan Fires If you see his performance as bad, you haven’t watched the race, and therefore don’t know what you are talking about. And if you did watch the race, the problem is in your understanding.

The dude comfortably ran in the top 10 the entire 2nd stage. He even threw a nice block on the defending champion. Unfortunately he got Chastain’d, and DNF’d. Nonetheless great debut. I really enjoyed it!

Kyle Raymer August 22, 2022 at 12:12 pm

Kimi showed his skills today, proving a lot of people wrong who thought he had lost his competitive edge. Hopefully this isn’t the end of his racing career, he’s still got a lot of potential.

Reply
Bogdan Mihai August 27, 2022 at 4:54 am

@echo3299 In term of technology. I love WRC. Their skill is amazing.

Reply
Alberto August 27, 2022 at 9:59 am

@echo3299 That’s the point tho, everything will be a step down from F1. F1 is the biggest racing series in the world, there’s just no doubt about that. It has a massive following, it travels all around the world and it has the quickest cars, by far.
F1 car require the most skill to drive, I’m not saying other categories are easy, but both NASCAR and wrc allow for much more contact, whilst in F1 you have to be surgical as any but of contact will potentially damage the car
It’s like comparing European football with the MLS

Reply
He vi August 27, 2022 at 5:14 pm

It’s more like a hobby for him, so obviously he doesn’t need to do it if he doesn’t want to.

Reply
Bell Uh-1 Huey September 2, 2022 at 1:35 am

@echo3299 You’re talking about the tech, what about taking out said tech and that’s NASCAR. Eh, F1 and WRC good tech, but NASCAR is raw racing talent. Not to mention NASCAR has dirt racing and Chase Elliot beaten a rally car champ.

Reply
Bell Uh-1 Huey September 2, 2022 at 1:37 am

@Bogdan Mihai btw how did Mazerpin make F1 again? He’s worse than Cody Ware in NASCAR. Some NASCAR drivers that can be in F1 are Tony Stewart, Aj Allmendinger, Chase Elliot. For WRC it’d be Chase Elliot, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell and more because a lot of NASCAR drivers do dirt track racing. Just opinions anyways. I say Indycar is the open wheel version of NASCAR in which it’s spec and nobody has a technological edge on eachother.

That was one of the best debuts I’ve ever seen in Nascar. He’s got as much time in that car as you or me and was in a battle to finish top 10 with the most competive car we’ve seen in a decade. That’s NUTS!!! I’m a fan go Kimi!
