As someone who never watched nascar I just realized the only reason anyone outside the sport knows about Danica Patrick is because she’s a woman

She won an Indycar race on fuel mileage. Best part about driving slow. It saves fuel
This is literally the most nascar I’ve watched since Dale Jr retired.
To be fair to Danica, the fact that no one wanted to get passed by her probably made her career look worse that it really was. I heard racers always raced against her like it was game 7 of the world series.
The fact she didn’t know simple concepts like drafting 4 years into her career was another problem…

good for Mcdowell, I was more frustrated at the fact that Larson got caught up in that last wreck after almost getting clear. Glad to see him Take the Cup this season.
Racing on these tracks would be insanely difficult with so many hazards constantly popping up. Can’t judge them too harshly.

Man I remember when I used to watch Nascar every Sunday and me and my friends used to joke about how Danica never got a win and always crashed!
I was at a couple of the indie car races at the Milwaukee mile (no longer holds events) and got to meet her. So cool that she grew up here In Wisconsin.
I know I’m a little late but Logano definitely does the best burnouts.
Brian Scott had great runs at difficult tracks. Saying Danica and Brian in the same group because of talent is wildly unfair
My greatest fear is doing my evening commute drive home, looking over and seeing Danica Patrick trying to merge into my lane.
The saddest thing about Danica Patrick is that she was really skilled with open wheel racing but for whatever reason her marketing team decided to make her go into stock car racing instead
Go daddy wanted a girl driver if you remeber all their old commercial they were always kinda pushing hot girls selling web domains. They probably offered her a shitload of money to get her to drive their car.
