This weekend was one of the greatest in recent memory. Then Brian had to ruin it all with a DUI. Congrats to the 9 team.

@Lukesbricks16 there’s no wrong way to judge if you personally think a race is good.

And careful, I believe this is only his first win in MENCS. Chase has some moves in the truck series, I think he pulled off a few good wins there, several of which at the road courses.

JEMknight657 August 9, 2018 at 6:10 pm

Bills first win was at a road course just not watkins, It was at riverside (RIP)

Reply
Moneybags Hastings August 9, 2018 at 8:41 pm

Hmmm, I’ve never heard of Riverside,. When did they close it/take it out of the Winston Cup?

Reply
JEMknight657 August 9, 2018 at 9:41 pm

Nascar started running there in the 60’s it seems until 88. It was the final race of the season from 81-87 also. The track was shut down in 89….. to build a mall

@Moneybags Hastings it was a pretty swag track. I wish it still existed.

Ever since Jr. retired, Chase and Bowman have been my guys. Larson used to be too and well we all know what happened to him.

I’m from Dawsonville and I missed it. I had mountain bike practice and couldn’t watch it. I listened to the end on the radio and then went to the old town of Dawsonville to hear the siren. It was amazing

I’d like to think someday in the great beyond the #43 and the #3 are nose-to-nose going down the backstretch when the nose of the #48 pulls even.

KB is something else dude! He ain’t human. He should start last after every caution. Even if he did he would still have the same amount of wins. SCARY

That moment when Jimmie came to push Chase gave me goosebumps, it was surreal.

It was a true “passing the torch” moment.

From the 7-time champion and the winner of HMS’s 200th win, to the first-time winner and winner of HMS’s 250th win.

Diogo Oliveira August 25, 2018 at 1:42 am

@LionManatic2048 How can you say he won’t win anymore? As he himself said, you don’t get 8 2nd place finishes by luck

Reply
LionManatic2048 August 25, 2018 at 2:01 am

+Diogo Oliveira I’m not saying he will or wont win again, I’m just saying that we can’t declare him a legend or a superstar from just one win. I like Chase, he’s my second favorite driver, and really glad he finally got a win but he only has this one win at this time. Chances are he becomes the next superstar winning races each year like Johnson, Harvick, Busch, Truex, and others, but chances are he becomes another Paul Menard, or AJ allmendinger who get their first win and just ride around. I’m not saying either will happen, which worst case scenario he becomes another Kasey Kahne and retire early, while best case scenario he wins a championship or two. But we can’t determine his whole career over one win or by his last name like certain someone we know.

Jonnymlndz23 July 16, 2019 at 5:45 pm

@LionManatic2048 he already won another one hehe

Chase has had a strong few weeks. He’s won stages inter last 2 races and then the one at Watkins Glen makes it 3. He’s been hot as of late. Awesome to see him win! Congrats on the ‘W’! I will never forget the montage at the end of the NBC Broadcast of his race as it played that M83 song!
