That is sad, replacing dale sr, this man’s a legend. He’ll be missed from the sport

And did as good of a job that someone possibly could have done stepping into that car, personality wise and really even talent there couldn’t have been a better pick for the ride other than like Jr. To take over that car

I feel like Dale Sr is watching down and proud of Harvick and his epic career

That just means he made enough money that he doesn’t have to come back anymore unless he gets an amazing offer like Jimmie Johnson.

Do you think Noah Gragson or Ty Gibbs will win Rookie of the Year this season?

Reply
Benjamin Ferreira January 20, 2023 at 12:12 pm

Ty Gibbs will not even get top 20 in points Noah will get 19th Ty will finish 24th in points

Caleb Turnbow January 20, 2023 at 12:45 pm

Unfortunately it’ll probably be Ty. He’ll claw, scratch, wreck and cheat his way to it

Tracy Avery January 20, 2023 at 2:03 pm

Noah 100%. Although Noah is my driver I just have a feeling that Noah will handle things better than Gibbs. Don’t sleep on Legacy folks, they may be better than you think.

Noah

Gragson. I want but Ty has the better equipment so we’ll see. I say Ty.

Vargas!!! So glad he’s getting some runs this year across multiple series. True diamond in the rough

I really hope one day harvick calls keelan to a win if he gets in the booth, that would be awesome

Kuromori January 19, 2023 at 11:57 pm

It’d be just like Ned Jarrett calling Dale’s win in Daytona or Jeff Burton calling Harrison’s wins in Xfinity two years ago.

Ross Collins January 19, 2023 at 11:59 pm

Kevin will need a F1 broadcasting job. Keelan has F1 aspirations I believe, that’s why he has been in Europe racing Karts.

@Kuromori the Dale and Dale show. Classic moment

Seeing Noah and Ty both in Xfinity, now in Cup fighting for rookie of the year, just a few months removed from their championship 4 appearances feels so surreal.

I hope its Gragson. Felt bad for Ty at the end of the season, but i dont see him acting much different.

He most def will be a different person on and off the track, impossible not to be losing his dad like that, not saying which direction he will be different but he will be nonetheless

When Kevin wants to race he will drive in the CARS Tour and the SRX. He is definitely not done driving. Also this might be nitpicking but Kevin said he will be done with the Cup Series, maybe he still does an Xfinity or Craftsman race once in a while like how Dale Jr. does his Xfinity races

DIY Chad 726 January 19, 2023 at 10:45 pm

Yep I feel like he will def race some late model races at some point

Kevins stance on his retirement sounds a lot like Tony Stewart’s.

I remember in the 2016 After the Lap show (I wish they’d bring that back, I thought it was funny) when Tony was onstage he said something along the lines of, “Don’t ask me to bail you out if you get injured like Jeff Gordon did for Junior, when I said I was done, I meant done.”

Aaron Lee SGBC Lieutenant January 19, 2023 at 10:59 pm

I really want Tony to come back for and xfinity race

Reply
Kuromori January 19, 2023 at 11:55 pm

Tony should come back to race in the Daytona 500, it’s the one race he couldn’t win when he was active.

Reply
John Haas January 20, 2023 at 1:38 am

@Kuromori With owning four cars he can’t come back to the Cup series

Reply
Cole Murray January 20, 2023 at 2:33 am

Yeah, even though I believe that Kevin meant it, I would never say never.

Based on equipment if JGR runs like they did last year I’m seeing NG as rookie of the year.

These aren’t the Xfinity drivers, these are the cup drivers, they don’t just have to beat each other, they have to compete amongst the best for positions.

Reply
Am I You? January 20, 2023 at 12:06 pm

JGR had all of their cars in the top 8 at some point before the playoffs.

I’m picking Noah for rookie of the year. I think with Jimmie on the team the performance will be up this year.

Reply
Luke Nathaniel January 20, 2023 at 12:11 am

5:35, if there was a larger rookie class with several drivers with far fewer starts in the cup series, then they would need to exclude both Noah Gragson and Ty Gibbs. However, since they are the only two candidates, I think it’s a level competition.

fsudog1999 January 20, 2023 at 2:15 am

Dude… got to question… you really think its only 20-30% driver? Even now, with the Nexgen car? I think maybe with Gen 4, 5, 6… yes. But I do believe this car, along with limited practice, has leveled the playing field a lot. A good wheel man is worth a lot more these days. Not to mention must be skilled at everything,…road course, SS, short track, etc.
Love your stuff. Great prospective on things. Keep up the good work!

I think Noah will win Rookie of the year solely because we know Ty Gibbs is gonna be in some trouble with almost every single driver has their eye on him because of his move at Martinsville, he’s made a lot of enemies

I was a big Kenseth fan myself and he deserves being in the Hall of Fame. Was always in contention to win races until the last cameo for roush. So happy that he gets to shine in the spotlight tomorrow
