Tony Stewart joins FOX once again, Helio Castroneves won't race the Daytona 500 this year, and it sounds like the Brickyard 400 is close to returning to the NASCAR schedule.

Question: are we getting a 1/64 version of the out of the groove diecast? I mainly collect 1/64
Right now there are no plans for a 1/64 unfortunately
I’m glad Tony Stewart is back in the booth
I hope we can see more races with him in the booth and for Indy, I believe it can work with the Next Gen.
All that has to be fixed, is the dang tires.
I do not want a repeat of the 2008 race.
eric’s channel has come full circle. from making videos with diecasts to having his own diecast. proud of you eric
Love Tony in the booth. Glad to hear.
My vote is to bring back the Brickyard 400 – every year!
Indy oval – tradition = Texas.
Change my mind. People forget how boring, uninspired, and poorly attended the races were by the end of the Indy oval. I’m not thrilled about watching boring racing for three hours for “tradition.”. The novelty will wear off and everyone will go back to not giving a crap.
This is my idea for the Indianapolis brickyard Road course layout that I think
NASCAR should try to run in 2023.
It would solve the issue of the sharp right turn at the end of the straight, by running backwards with this lavout it has a much longer tapered corner giving much more time to slow down and less risk for brake loss crashes (like with Larson and Ty Dillon) It would have much more of a “roval” kind of feel this way.
The addition of the dogleg adds more character to the layout and gives more opportunity for drivers to have heated battles on track.
Then using the sharp 90 degree LEFT turn onto the straightaway would make for a great drag race to the finish, giving the potential for amazing photo finishes.

The sharp breaking spots is what makes road course racing remotely interesting. Especially after a long straightaway. I ‘m not sure what if any changes would have to be made to run “backwards” but my guess is it isn’t as simple as it sounds. Wall openings and cutouts are designed for cars coming from one direction, running backwards exposes some really nasty sections.
I dig Indy, ESPECIALLY the road course, but I would like to see how the next gen car performs on the oval. Maybe if it does well we get two races at Indy, or a one year, then swap like you suggested. But to me, Indy road course is awesome
Yeah, I agree that the road course is pretty good. Just to throw it away because drivers can’t avoid getting over their heads or a few freak issues with the curbs is a little unreasonable. Those who are clamoring for the oval are a part of a few unreasonable camps:
1) They hate any road course
2) They have amnesia and don’t remember how bad, boring, and poorly attended the oval races became
3) They hate anything new and like tradition for the sake of tradition
It is an inarguable, incontrovertible fact that the road course race is more competitive and entertaining than the oval
Hot take: Indy oval – tradition = Texas
Change my mind
The Brickyard was and is a Crown Jewel event. It deserves its spot on the schedule. I agree, The Next Gen has potential to run really well on the oval.
I’m honestly curious to see Indy Oval return.
Erics channel being on an Xfinity car and getting its own die cast is a top 5 moment from 2022 and HUGE for new Nascar media! Love this, man!
Well, first off, I’m excited about seeing Tony Stewart return to the Fox Sports booth for the Clash and the Daytona 500 and it looks like Fox will do what they did last year with a rotation of different people in the booth every week, so that’s cool. Second, I really hope that we can see the oval at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Brickyard 400 return next year because I’m on Team Indy Oval and if we do see the Brickyard 400 return next year, I want to see Lucas Oil Raceway, or IRP as most old-school fans call it, return to the Xfinity series with it being run on Saturday night. Also, when it comes to the Brickyard 400, I didn’t approve of it being the regular-season finale from 2018-2019 because if it was up to me, I would have the Southern 500 be the regular-season finale in 2018 and for 2019, the Night Race at Bristol would be the regular-season finale. And I think I agree with Eric about what he had to say on the last 2 Cup races on the Indy Road Course and who knows? As the old saying goes, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”, and hopefully, we do see the Brickyard 400 return next year. All-in-all, in the end, that’s all I’ve got to say, so goodbye!
I’d like to see Wally Dallenbach back in the booth for a race.
I would love to see Kurt Busch in the booth this year since he really knows his stuff. Also loved it when Chad Knaus did some the of Xflinty races over the last few years. The one year him and Brad Keselowski did it together was awesome it was pure joke but also seriousness during live racing.
As for Indy would love Oval back but would love it alternated from year to year. Say odd years road course, even years oval or something like that. So it gives us fresh action each year
That diecast is incredibly awesome. Very happy for you Eric. Must be a surreal feeling having your own diecast in your collection. The racecar was amazing too, but diecast last forever
Thank you Eric for taking the time to offer your condolences for the RBR fire. Having worked at RBR during the 2021-2022 seasons, I can say that the team there will always be family and are some of the best, hardest-working people in the garage.
I have loved the journey of Eric’s channel, I remember watching the Double E Cup Series as a little kid. Eric has consistently been one of my favorite youtubers for about ten years now. Thank You for all the memories Eric. I can not wait to make some new ones as well
I want them to run an Indy double header, saturday on the RC sunday on the oval. Have to use the same car, so teams have to make set up compromises or do you go all out to win 1 race. NASCAR apparently wants to go to 40 race season so adding some DHs is the best way to increase the races without increasing the weekend
As a Tony Stewart fan, I’m looking forward to seeing him call a few races this year.
