There is absolutely nothing fun about this garbage event. Even many of the drivers don’t like it. It’s nothing more than a very expensive demolition derby.
This race was alright from what I’ve seen from the highlights, but I don’t like the amount of crashes and cautions this race had, but I’d expect that since it’s a short track.
I brought with me a friend who had extremely little knowledge of the sport and he absolutely loved this event especially being his first race. I personally think it was my favorite race I’ve ever attended. Well worth the trip out to the west coast!
@iHateRacing Dude I have a question, did I explicitly say I hated it? No I said It wasn’t a race and it wasn’t. I thought it was funny to watch the carnage but this was not a race at all it was a demo derby
This was my first ever nascar race me and my family have loved nascar our whole life never had to money to go. This was an affordable, downtown, and exciting event for fans that I hope they bring to other nascar less communities. Even my girlfriend who could care less about racing said it was a genuine 8/10 event that and she has way more fun than she expected. Glad it happened. (Also, shout-out to all the daniels amigos. Definitely a fan favorite for the crowd).
I give your girlfriend a few months before the big fully takes over. I took my wife to the Charlotte race in 2021. I grew up watching with my dad, and she always thought it was the “dumbest” thing. Now she can’t get enough of it.
I like Kyle but let’s pump the breaks, this completely unique track compared all the rest on the schedule.
I doubt chase ,blaney and others run in back of the pack all season.
Lmao he continues to live rent free in y’all head and I love it. He literally was running up front for like 95% of the race. I can’t wait to see how you clowns cope and seethe all season long as he keeps running top 10 consistently along with winning a race or possibly even multiple races this season. That 23 car is going to be fast all year long and y’all will just sit there to watch it happen mad af.
Bubba can’t do right with you idiots. All the people who we’re running their sausage holes when the thing with Larson happened are on here now running your mouths because he stayed in his car instead of making an idiot out of himself. You ought to be ashamed
@Azeria You talk non-sensical. The race was 150 laps and there was so many cautions they went 100 laps under yellow. Are you saying we should watch a race that has 2/3 of the laps under caution so you can get to bed earlier?
I don’t know if its just caus I missed NASCAR so much or what, but I thought besides the kinda sloppy parts in the second half with all the cautions, which as an MTJ fan, was absolutely killing me as he was leading. But in the end, I thought this year’s Clash was so much better than 2022 and it should stay an exhibition race too IMO. And seeing my favorite Cup driver win this race thus ending the frustration of 2022, become the first winner of NASCAR’s 75th anniversary, and cause of what he went through with Sherry, he needed this win and seeing him get it put me in tears as an MTJ fan
I thought it was pretty fun to watch. However, from an international perspective, I would prefer Nascar to just stream the “exhebition race” for free simply to exhibit the racing they provide instead if one musical act.. From what I understand, pretty much everybody can watch Nascar in the US, but that is not the case in Germany. Just streaming it live would lower the barrier to entry for a lange number of international race fans that would just like to see a bit of Nascar!
@Eric Estepp the teamwork and dedication of those RCR drivers just in that race alone shows that this team will be lethal in this 2023 Season. I’ve been watching NASCAR since 2006 and I’ve never seen Kyle Busch show that much teamwork in a while. It may have seemed painful at the time to see Rowdy leaving the car that we all know him as “the Candy Man in the 18” but honestly I think it was for the good of his career. But we saw this teamwork with Allmendinger, Haley, and Chastain in the Xfinity series and think we’re seeing it again with Austin Dillon and Kyle Busch. I’m definitely keeping my eye on RCR this season.
For next year’s event, they NEED to implement the local track racing rule that if you cause a wreck, you get sent to the back. People were trying to pass way too eagerly and weren’t afraid to wreck another person.
The fact that Kyle Busch drove all the way from 25th to 3rd legitimately on a track where you can’t pass-and did most of it on the OUTSIDE-is insane. He is going to be a force this year if he keeps that up.

at the end of the day, I just want to know how many laps the pace car led in this race…
Fr
I think it will propel them into the first round of the playoffs.
Maybe 100
16 cautions average about 5-6 laps per is about 80-96 uncounted laps led by the pace car
The pace car was the MVP and the only car without a scratch or wrecking
There should be a warrant out for Joel McHale’s arrest
You should watch the F1 intros from COTA last year. That was even more cringe.
Gus Johnson did driver intro last year
Joe Buck did intro to The Grand Marshalls
@ICECAR … But comedians are funny tho .. lol
Seriously tho, yeah once he lost the crowd during intros , he was just bad from there on out
that was beyond pathetic
Definitely don’t make it count toward the championship, but for a one off fan spectacle I think it’s pretty fun

@JB Dude that’s just your single minded opinion…..
Fun fact for those that missed it: Rowdy goosed Truex in “victory lane”
No matter where he goes, Rowdy will ALWAYS be a character lmfao
What do you mean “goosed”?
Yeah I seen that when he was walking up the stage. He shook his hand after!
@B Rob grabbed somewhere between the legs
@B Rob
Pinched his leg I think.
Man oh man, i missed nascar. Idc if it was just a wreck fest, i just missed it so much.
felt, plus my favorite driver did win so that’s always a plus.
@Cayden declermont definitely a good day than! I’m kinda miffed that Preece had issues though (i probably spelt that wrong lol)
This race was alright from what I’ve seen from the highlights, but I don’t like the amount of crashes and cautions this race had, but I’d expect that since it’s a short track.
This is a track field track that you will find at most high schools

This wasn’t a “race”, it was an over hyped demo derby with a lackluster halftime show.
@Cam134 you didn’t like it, we get it, but plenty people do and you being negative doesn’t help the sport get people watching, this does.
@iHateRacing Dude I have a question, did I explicitly say I hated it? No I said It wasn’t a race and it wasn’t. I thought it was funny to watch the carnage but this was not a race at all it was a demo derby
@Cam134 how wasn’t it a race exactly, I’m listening. I could give you 5 reasons it was one
Yours Truly, Chris then you have no knowledge of racing. You must be a fan of demolition derbies at local fairgrounds.

It is always exciting to go to your first race.

to bad you saw a gimmick race
It was my wife’s first NASCAR race and she really enjoyed it as well!
Anyone who thought that Kyle Busch wasn’t going to make a big impact immediately at RCR is in complete denial.
I like Kyle but let’s pump the breaks, this completely unique track compared all the rest on the schedule.

Anyone see Bubba at the end of the race sitting in his car. He looked liked he needed therapy session after the 3 dumped him.

He got dumped I would be pissed too

The TV camera shot of Bubba in the car after the race doing what he does best: SUCKING
For all the people who say they want One Lane Bristol back… this is the kind of racing you would get with today’s “No give, all take” racing.
They wouldn’t care since it’s Bristol and bigger track
caution laps should count. was worth staying up til 3 or 4am just to see Truex finally win something
Whare do u live it ended that late? I live in the eastern time zone and it was over at 10: 30 at the latest
@Robert Stone the UK, so 10:30 ET would be 3:30 here
@Azeria So your saying DVR’s haven’t made it across the ocean yet?
@Skutahuniai …what?

Idk. I don’t like Truex but I came away happy. I thought the racing that didn’t involve crashing was good.

All I can say about the Cautions at the Coliseum is thank God Martin Truex Jr finally got his first Gen 7 win!

It was a fun race, glad NASCAR is back for the season!
The top 3 from heat 2 was the same top 3 for the actual race, definitely the most stacked group.
For next year’s event, they NEED to implement the local track racing rule that if you cause a wreck, you get sent to the back. People were trying to pass way too eagerly and weren’t afraid to wreck another person.
Spot on.
I’m not against that.
As much as I hate the idea of giving NASCAR another chance to bungle a judgement call, I agree that this could really improve the sloppiness
The fact that Kyle Busch drove all the way from 25th to 3rd legitimately on a track where you can’t pass-and did most of it on the OUTSIDE-is insane. He is going to be a force this year if he keeps that up.
