I remember that I was like Brad uhh
Brad actually broke the rules by having something in the racecar that was unsecured but NASCAR let it go because of how popular it was on twitter in that moment. He later tweeted again during a different race and NASCAR fined him and that was the end of him bringing his phone into the car.
