The Daytona 500 got off to an action-filled start as Brad Keselowski used a strong finish to win the first stage. Bubba Wallace was a strong contender but after taking a bump to the wall, Wallace struggled to get back to the top of the race in the first stage. The second stage continued without many cautions as Ross Chastain was able to narrowly beat out Alex Bowman for the second stage victory. The final stage of Daytona 500 brought the heat as it became a caution-filled stage, especially near the end of the race. With two laps to go, a crash that featured Austin Dillon cause overtime. In overtime, another crash with Kyle Larson helped Ricky Stenhouse Jr. win Daytona 500. This year's Daytona 500 was the most all-time laps in NASCAR history, with over 210 in total.

What was your favorite moment from the Daytona 500?
@Wayne Adams terrible embarrassing
9:26 When Clint didn’t care
you missed most of the great parts with commercials lol
i also liked how the coverage was terrible when you had time between commercials, you never even showed the finishing order or interviewed more than 2 people on the live broadcast.
the gran marshals were sooo lame, unenthusiastic. i like anyone with a buncha energy more than that. the racing was pretty good it is too bad the braoadcast was drenched in commercials and fox was terrible.
Listen to race on MRN, sounded really good and the highlites show it was. The # 47 was out of fuel the crew pushed it to the Winner’s Circle
That was pretty amazing. He would’ve never made it to the checkered flag.
I was born and raised in Mississippi, and this one was a long time coming, so happy him and his team for fighting for a well-deserved win.
Indeed my man, lets go! Daytona 500 CHAMPS!
As popular as NASCAR is in the South, why are there no Cup races in Mississippi ?
@Joon Buggnot really a speedway down there worth going to, gotta think about infrastructure for fans, track quality, etc. nothing in mississippi really checks all the boxes
For the longest Daytona 500 in history I expected there to be a longer highlights video.
@stuff r’us it was boring as f**
@Call me Shaggy rule has always been after 2 attempts at a restart,next flag ends the race
@Eazyuh yes
@CrispyLips_ no
Almost 14 minutes if no commercials? If only the actual race could have made it past 5 minutes without a commercial.
I didn’t have any commercials
In Norway theres never commercials during a Nascar race. We dont ruin sport broadcast with commercials.
@Bengt Christer Johannessen well in the US you had to spend more time watching ads instead of the cars during the first and second stages
@Fuel_Units in Norway the People of the nation decided we dont want our sportbroadcasts being interrupted by commercials, and every goverment know that they loose next election if they change it. So it worked out well for the customers watching sports. No commercal .
I’m a Joey22 fan but all said this was one of the best Daytona’s in years, including the Annnouncers.
You’ve got to be kidding…
Tell me you’re joking
Yeah you clearly just stared watching the sport, this isn’t even in the top 100 best 500s
@B_collins We’ve only had 65 though
There were so many commercials during the broadcast that it made the race practically unwatchable.
F1, V8 Supercars, Indy Car is where racing is at… Nascar I think loses younger people for being primarily circle racing, young people like the challenge of swirly twirly tracks
and stage racing makes no sense at all, since it is such artificial racing, and all these football terms like overtime, playoffs, and bowls are just weird
and nobody who likes racing likes seeing dumb car crashes and “big ones”,
I love being an American, and I love American history and the American history of racing, but the rest of the world won, swirly twirly tracks is real racing, circles are just coliseums of drunks watching for crashes, not racing
somewhere Danica Patrick is watching completely flabbergasted at Stenhouse’s win

Maybe she’s happy for him?
Nah, but all the idiots who called him “Wrecky” for the last several years should be.
@midblossomfilms lol
@midblossomfilms you know oval racing originally started in Europe………lol
It was good seeing Jimmie back on the track today. He did really well
@Richard Ricehe wrecked that’s why but the whole race before his crash he outran pastrana by a lot
@Goofy goblin he did jimmie did great
@Richard Rice he went from 39th up to 8th then speeding penalty sent him back to 30th and he made it back to 6th before he got wrecked.
@Richard Rice Did you watch the race lol?
Congratulations Ricky he finally got the finish he deserves
You must be a Newbie?
Drivers do not “deserve” anything… they must earn it (which Wrecky Spinout has not done).
@Kevin L Whatever you need to cope
me stuck at work while the race was going on ducking into BOH every hour to stay updated… and getting to come home and watch this video already uploaded was so sick
Amazing that this all started out doing speed runs and racing right on the beach.
And also bootleggers started probitions smuggling moonshine

Travis Pastrana came in 11th. Dude is a beast.
@Call me Shaggy he went from like 7th to 11th in that last lap crash, he actually went backwards in the scoring not forwards
@UI yes. Maybe 2027.
He had a pretty good run before him and almirola collided. Could’ve easily got a top 5 if things went his way. Absolutely mad considering he only got into a nascar at the start of this week.
Barely gets tapped and takes out half the field on the last lap. He’s a beast alright. He’s a good rally driver and was insane on 2 wheels but he doesn’t belong in a cup car.
@Call me Shaggy You mean the wreck he started.
It’s pretty crazy slower teammates are allowed to intentionally slow down and wreck the field behind their other cars ahead of them to give them a better chance. Just how low is nascar gonna get? And still never fixed those cars? They still spin so easily and wreck everyone else with them.
Fantastic racing, different strategies, clean first half, wreck fest at the end, lot of lead changes, a surprise winner! One of the best 500 in the last couple of years, this season is off to a fantastic start.
Truth. The haters and whiners can wait for Formula 1 to start; this was a great racing day.
@D Snodgrass
It was a pretty good race until all the fast cars crashed out at the end. NASCAR’s should have let them race back to the checkered flag instead of determining who the winner would be by throwing that last caution. It was a good race with the worst finish in Daytona 500 history IMO. And I don’t have a favorite driver, I simply like it better when we see the winner cross the finish line first. We didn’t see this yesterday.
The cars actually looking like their street counterparts is such a huge improvement.
I don’t like the single lug nut. It takes away from the skill and timing of the pit crew being crucial for success.
One of the best races in a long time .to all drivers keep your heads up and your feet in the paddle. Thank you.
Great 500, loved the pre race celebration of NASCAR’s 75th anniversary, but man, yall dropped the ball on coverage. This needs to be fixed. Less ads, more side by side, or better yet, AD FREE! Or just have ads during caution periods, you guys are better than that.
I give Stenhouse an A+ for winning the Daytona 500! It felt like 530 miles after it went to overtime. It’s a Chevrolet win!!!
