What was the stream we were supposed to look at the last 15 minutes of?

The camera cuts being late and lack of urgency to show what’s going on is what really made me die inside. That and NASCAR being trigger happy with the caution for the Suarez spin basically showing they where rooting for a caution to get a gwc just doesn’t sit right.

It’s bullshit. They called the caution as soon as Suarez made contact. They stole it right away from Kyle Busch

Thank God the second half wasn’t as bad

This was my race to show my family why I love nascar. It was one of the few times I could watch the whole race and a lot of my family were over. Sadly, FOX commercialized it to death, and my family was just as disappointed as I was. I was pissed when the ads came during a wreck and in the end was just depressed. I failed in showing what NASCAR was all about and now will just return to highlights probably to save my time.

Yeah I work during a lot of the races (trucks & xfinity too) bc I bartend at an upscale restaurant. I put the races on while I work but since I got really into the sport in 2020 I’ve survived off of highlights & YouTubers like Jaret, BFM, Eric, Danny & Slap for the download on history and current Nascar events. I, too, have to justify my Fandom to people like my Dad. This was the first ever 500 I got to watch in its entirety (I specifically requested off for it) and while I had a good time I honestly feel like highlights sometimes work better bc half the time isn’t wasted trying to sell me crap. Sorry for rambling in the reply and that you couldn’t prove Nascar’s worth to your fam. The wrecks under commercial and having to wait several minutes through ads to find out what happened was embarrassing.

Now I could be wrong here so correct me if I am. But when they went side by side for a commercial in the past. If there was an on-track incident, didn’t they break from the commercial to live and show what was happening? I thought that was how it was. Maybe I’m wrong. I saw the crash in turn four and we continued to go with five commercials before coming back to live feed. Im really close to just not watching racing any longer. I can watch the highlights right here on you tube..

Yeah, I feel like they used to cut back to the action as they should. That first big wreck happening as soon as they went to commercial and then having to wait through ad after ad to figure out what was going on was depressing. Wanted to know if my driver (Chastain) was okay or really who was or wasn’t taken out. I typically watch the highlights and honestly they do a better job of coherent coverage than the damn broadcast did.

YEP. CUT TO THE ACTION THEN WHEN THEY PIT THEY HAD A COUPLE COMMERCIALS.

Say what you want about F1 but there is zero commercials from the formation lap all the way through to the checkered flag and actually all the way through the podium ceremony and celebrations now that I think about it…

I easily may have missed something as we had company and I was more watching than listening for a lot of it, but I didn’t end the day wanting to shove Cottonelle toilet paper in Bowyer’s mouth. I feel like the typical Fox cringe was significantly toned down from its usual insufferable levels

Yeah Bowyer and Mike Joy need to go!

That’s a few years in a row nascar has screwed their biggest race. Last year people were upset about the commercials, they were upset about the finish, the overall feeling was sad. Year before was ok, but its become a pattern

While I’m disappointed that Truex, Buescher, Jimmie, or Hamlin didn’t win, I’m so glad Logano, Busch, Elliott, or Larson didn’t win. They are my least favorites. Good for Stenhouse though

So Wrecky Spinhouse is now in the playoffs, and I am going to think that the 6, 12, 78 are going to win this year so we could have 16+ this year…maybe. I joke with Ricky’s name, he did have a clean plate race and found the spots to move up for sure, Congratulations to him. Not sure what the beef was with the commercials. They missed a few split streams but we need the ads to pay for the sport. Sponsor and ad driven. It is a bimuch with the camera sponsors, helmet camera sponsors and roof camera sponsor….a bit much with all those little stickers in the car…. Now I think the broadcast needs to show the sponsors more on the cars so the sponsors see VALUE. Show the sponsor more around the track during cautions. They have time to make it classy and not in your face ish….

I do NOT like F1 but I have to admit they do it right when it comes to commercials. ZERO commercials under green flag conditions.
