What a crazy finish. Did not expect Stenhouse to come out on top. Definitely a surprise.
Agreed….
I reported this channel. Reason: It’s a terrorist organization blocking visibility of 1,564 files of the Minna no Nihongo Japanese textbook files available for all phones and computers, which then proceeds to host fake Japanese lessons and applications where they don’t actually expect the users to learn the Japanese language through Google’s systems, as opposed to just using an actual Japanese textbook, proceeds to establish in-application-purchases.
Fox’s coverage of the 500 was absolutely atrocious this year. Only 2 driver interviews after the race, only a couple replays of the last lap wreck, way too many commercials in the beginning, camera kept going away from the actual action, and no post race results.
The race ran long. They could not fit the interviews in, as they cut to scheduled programing right after the race. Not what I wanted to see either, but just the way it works out sometimes. Just as we were screaming for added coverage, the people waiting to see the event that was supposed to be on after the race were probably pissed off when they turned on FOX and saw the race instead of what they wanted. It kinda goes both ways. Hell,,,, I remember back in the day when ESPN would switch over to another channel if the race ran long. Too any times we were all sent scrambling for the remote with 20 laps to go, and hoping that channel was included in our package.
True
Results were on the bottom crawl. But I agree that the coverage sucked.

@steelvenom330 I was more confused than not when I heard the call to the finish of the race. All three of the broadcasters seemed completely lost and did not have any control of the situation. Yeah, I was going to give nascar a new chance this year after a couple of years off, but I’m sorry, the broadcast alone left me hanging, and I turned the channel feeling like it was a waist of time.
Great Job Fox. Way to prove that you’re still bottom of the barrel in sports broadcasting!
I’m biased as a KB fan. That being said I hope we get rid of GWC at superspeedways. It ruins good races just gives the drivers an excuse to trash the field because they get another shot. It just turns into a shitty wreck fest with ruins and in this case ruined an otherwise amazing daytona500. We ended under caution anyway. Just end it at the advertised distance. Everyone knows what’s going on. Non of this field freezes but no one knows where people are finishing.
Exactly! That’s why the ‘98 Daytona is a classic. It should have ended when the 99 wrecked
That 99 shouldn’t have even been a caution. Car wasn’t even side ways and caution was already out. Earlier in the race the 15 spun multiple times trying to pit was in the grass and they let the race continue. I hate that with 5 to go every little thing is a caution just to do a GWC!! Nascar sucks and need to get rid of the dumb stage racing with cations. If you wanna give points just give them the damn points on that lap but don’t throw a caution. Let the teams win the race like it’s supposed to be!
NASCAR been manipulating races with cautions for the last 25 years, nothing new.

(Increment 6 – Software block). In computer programming, the 6th increment means the 7th repetition.
What’s the problem with you people logging-me-out of Youtube as I was reading Japanese textbook pages while this guy spams Minecraft under a verified account? I’m 18+ and don’t need to see this children’s game, that’s the issue. It’s not up to the “real-world professional standards” of adults.
I strongly believe that if the Caution had not come out, Kyle would’ve won the 500!!!
Glad the caution came out then
@Tracy Carawan yea last night they didn’t even throw it till he was already in the wall upside down and making contact with others, glad to see them on top of it this time
if it didn’t come out, it would’ve been the 22, 47, or 20
@FlatTire I mean the one with two laps to go when Kyle was leading

Man look at that crowd!! Brings me back to when nascar was at its peak in the 2000s
@ACEofSPADES5597 you don’t know what does fused means
@Gain on Ten Yep, I call Daytona and Talladega Soap Box Derby races. When Mark Martin was near the end of his career and there was a big wreck fest he came real close to saying the restrictor plate races suck. As did Tony Stewart once. But you could tell they both backed off for fear of NASCAS officials.
@Koalaz Once again, the FIRST race of the year. The 500. Everybody with cabin fever. You people will NOT talk this pathetic, woke, liberal organization back into it’s glory days. Watch the crowds, or missing crowds, during most of the other races. I remember three year waiting lists at Bristol. Now nobody wants them for free.

I have toy say one of the most annoying things is when a last lap caution happens and they just call the race. I don’t see why they don’t just let them finish it out
These cars don’t stop on a dime. They wouldn’t have enough time to slow down to a safe speed after taking the checkered if the wreck is in turn one.
@midblossomfilms ovals>>>>>>>road courses
@edward ikr, road courses are overrated
@ACougarSwagnum oh my lord!! Get a life!! Your stupid, asinine, ignorant swirly twirly comment on every comment is ridiculous! F1 and IndyCar is not where it’s at!! NASCAR, born and bred in the USA! Deal with it. Stop watching so we don’t have to see your dumbass comments!!

Let’s not forget Travis Pastrana went from 37th and finished 11th. Not bad for his first race. Excited to see what he brings to the table.
He said that this is a one and done deal. These cars aren’t his style. But I actually hope he reconsiders.
@Alex Kazakov
Maybe oughta think before you run your mouth
Travis did nothing wrong ,
you sir are a total idiot…..
He said he’s not doing anymore racing Nascar he just wanted to to this one
@Alex Kazakovbro didn’t watch the race at all lmao

No race should end when a button is pushed.. who wants that!? Should always end at the start/finish line.
Racing is not racing any more.. running close to same speeds as early 70s. If not sometime mph slower
@ACougarSwagnum are you going to post this stupid swirly twirly comment on every post?!?! F1 and IndyCat is not where it’s at! In Europe and the rest of the globe maybe. NASCAR is born and bred USA! Deal with it!!
@Jam is going 196 not fast anymore
@harvickfan100 f1 fans has the most toxic community in the world .

Travis Pastrana made it to the final lap in 8th place before someone crashed him out.Pretty impressive for not ever racing a cup car before.Goes to show winning this is like 40% luck.
Except that he did race cup before, and didn’t perform well
@Andrew Yac he ran Xfinity and trucks. They said at the beginning of the race that this was his first Cup race.
Almirola was the one who bumped Pastrana, so I’d blame him first.
The guy has been racing his entire life. I’d argue that driving rally is 100x more challenging than NASCAR.

The Commercial 500. Cut it off little way through it.

Sports fans need to start loudly protesting the amount of commercials that air during sports. NFL is doing the same thing, they keep pushing more more more more more, testing what we will put up with as fans. Hopefully today’s broadcast was a tipping point for sports fans. The line has officially been crossed and we need to let them know we’re not going to put up with this insane level of greed.
What we need to do as consumers is contact the companies that had commercials during the 500 and explain to them we will no longer buy their products if they advertise so much. Complaining to the network and complaining to NASCAR won’t do it. We have to complain to the companies who are doing the advertising.

I will no longer watch this insanity as there is way too many cars and they are way too close to each other! No one likes someone tailgating you, if these people are literally right on each other’s bumper. Pure insanity! They’re just waiting for collisions but end up injuring and killing people.
Amazing Daytona 500!!! Fox killed it with the intro and celebrating 75 years of NASCAR, but the coverage was… awful. Please urge fox to do better, the pre race was a huge improvement, but they need to fix the on track action. Also, please advocate for less commercials
Wish they would show more crash replays in the “extended highlights” video. Bad enough it’s impossible to watch a race without cable.
It was a great race, lots of action and it was somewhat clean despite some crashes. My only complaint is the commercials that took away the action pretty much. Overall, still a great running of the Daytona 500. 9/10 race.
This was a fantastic race to be at in person. Go Keselowski, you were so close, you got it next year!
