NASCAR's Xfinity Series race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana was suspended on Saturday and postponed to Sunday. Cole Custer finished first in the first and second stage, but placed 27th on the final lap. John H. Nemechek of Joe Gibbs Racing won the final lap followed by Sam Mayer in second and Justin Allgaier in third. What are some of your favorite highlights from Fontana?
My favourite was when I didnt know that Auto Club is gonna be gone
Same
2023 Cup Race
Every Kyle Busch win.
I would say any time there was conflict with second and first place.
can’t believe that was the last 2 mile auto club speedway race ever…
Can someone explain why is auto club being finished.
@asabir141 California hates Nascar and everything it stands for , so they rather get out now while the land is still worth something
Legendary track
The 28 people in the stands can’t believe it either.

A lot of good racing. RIP Cali 2 miler.
Jan-Jaeger gets it done again
This is what is wrong with Fox. They cut away from that 3-wide with Sam Mayer in the middle, and they cut away to see an uncontested stage winner roll over the line…then they didn’t even go back to it.
What I saw was Custer show why Riley does not deserve shr ford ride,
Just like Preece showing last year why Riley does not deserve that ride
You do realize we’re going to have to deal with Riley getting a full-time cup series ride right. The only reason why he has the ride in the first place because of his rich daddy that has a stake in SHR
@Hidden Jocelyn that’s my point, he’s been in great equipment for several years and has done nothing,
Are they going to come back next year and race on the short track? I hope they don’t end up completely ruining the track.
@Яyder I don’t think they’ll go back for 10 years
Just heard that the there may not even be another track built. The whole works would just be torn down.
@dean ladue that would be really stupid, hopefully it’s just a rumor…
@Sara Grant definitely, should build or reconfigure the track to get another race there again.
@Яyderthere is no guarantees the returns in 2025 there’s no time given
It’s “Gentleman, start your engines”.
I like how Fox interrupts commercials to show a few laps of the race.
Ontario…Riverside…Fontana…
Ahh the race no one was able to watch since they aired it on fs2
Why couldn’t they just take some of the infield and build a half mile track and race on both maybe on the same weekend like they tried with pocono
Because that doesn’t work for what nascar wanted to do And that was sell 80% of the land because of the land values
They said it was a sell out crowd on the broadcast. Sure as heck didn’t appear that way
Cup was packed to the brim… We had a great time at Auto club
I feel kinda bad for Custer, he just got some bad luck (or strategy).
However, good days for other drivers who had a bad Daytona race like:
Sam Mayer (2nd)
Josh Berry (Rebounded to Finish 5th)
Brett Moffitt (9th)
Parker Kligerman (10th)
Joe Graf Jr. (11th)
Kaz Grala (13th)
Ryan Sieg (14th)
Kyle Sieg (15th)
Josh Williams (16th)
Anthony Alfredo (18th)
This and the closing of Chicagoland speedway may be NASCARs first attempts at returning to its southern roots. Dale Earnhardt Jr. has lobbied the brass at NASCAR to repair and re-open tracks such as North Wilkesboro and Rockingham for a few years, I wouldn’t be surprised if in the next few years those tracks are up and running for NASCAR cup races again.
They haven’t closed Chicago land speedway They just ain’t racing at it right now. They are still keeping it up and ready to go
Why so many empty seats?
Not everybody that bought tickets was going to show up because of the weather
Creed with the save of the year holly smokes
