What do you think of this shocking news?
@Just A Waddle Dee With Internet Access wasn’t Ken’s accident while snowmobiling?
@Arron Nelson
I agree 100 percent
Get well soon Chase…
@JJA1987 nah
I’m very shocked and very sad about this, my favorite driver Chase Elliott getting injured in a snowboarding accident, I find that hard to believe, but I can see that it’s very much true. I’m just glad that Elliott is OK, but I’m just devastated about this.
You gotta admit even if you don’t like him (including me), a surgery isn’t something to joke about.
I agree. I dislike Elliott, but I’d rather him be in the #9 than in the hospital with a leg injury undergoing surgery.
lol do you know him? he would not care if you had to have surgery… He bleeds the same as you buddy. Just a driver
@Zachary Russell All I was saying is I’d rather him or anyone else be healthy, whether I like them or not.
The best-case scenario is that he gets a playoff waiver, comes back and collects enough points to make the playoffs with a win. And that’s if he has no setbacks and the recovery goes well.
The top 30 in points rule was abolished before this season. So in theory Chase can miss like 20 races, then win once and knock some winless guy standing high in points out of the playoffs.
Even Chase Elliott haters like me is feeling bad for him. I do wish him a fast and speedy recovery.
Dang hopefully he’s okay…… this is a great opportunity for Josh Berry though, I’m intrigued to see what he can do with the #9.
I will say this if he recovers as well Kyle Busch did he broke his leg he won’t miss a beat I’ll definitely be praying for him though as all injuries are really bad hope he’ll be alright and come back
Hoping for speedy recovery but I would assume he is out at minimum a month. If it is a upper leg, he will probably be out till the end of the summer.
Well, I am still shocked by this news of Chase being out for this Sunday’s race at Las Vegas due to a leg injury from snowboarding today while Josh Berry will sub for Chase in the #9 car and I understand that we’re all wondering how long Chase could be out, whether he could be back next weekend at Phoenix or when he could be back, but right now, the best thing we all can do is let time take its course, hope we hear some updates from Hendrick Motorsports this weekend on what Chase’s status is and send Chase our thoughts and prayers on a speedy recovery, so until then, goodbye!
It’s probably going to be a while before Elliott returns to the car.
Health and safety for Chase is first and foremost my concern. Hopefully the injury is not too severe. It really blows to not see my favorite driver run in the race this weekend. Glad Josh Berry is getting the opportunity.
I hate the circumstances but I CANNOT WAIT to see what Josh can do in a top ride!!!
As a Chase fan, I’m upset he won’t be in the Vegas race but I’m more concerned with his health and safety. Praying he gets well soon.
After what happened with Ken Block this year I nearly had a heart attack when I heard that Chase Elliott was injured
Right?? All I could think was “not another driver!”
I’ve been a fan of Chase since the beginning and this is heartbreaking. I just hope he’s ok
This really sucks, I really hope for a speedy recovery for Chase! I’m not an expert on snowboarding, but if it’s an injury requiring surgery then it’s probably a fracture. Though, I’m optimistic, if Kyle Busch can have the wreak that he did back in 2015, be out for half the season then comeback to win the title, I see no reason Chase can’t do the same (varying on the injury). The only thing I can possibly see, is this effecting him on the road courses for this season and maybe next season as well, considering the amount of breaking.
Dang it!! He had a good race at Fontana and somewhat of a momentum. Hopefully recovery is quick and he’s back in that #9 soon.
I live here in Colorado, and I had no idea he was here! Get well soon, Chase!
This craziness is setting in for me. I pray that Chase Elliott makes a speedy recovery. As a big fan of Chase, hearing this is absolutely unbelievable. But, I will still root for his team, and especially for Josh Berry, good luck to him for the Xfinity series race that’s going on today as well as tomorrow’s Monster Energy Cup series race. And again, may Chase Elliott make a quick recovery. Amen.
