Chandler Smith should of won it, he led more than half of the laps in a 200 laps race. That’s not easy, mad respects to Chandler Smith.

Dont ask March 5, 2023 at 4:01 am

He should have won because he lead more laps? Seriously?

That’s the worst excuse, in any form of motor racing, to use for somebody that didn’t win. Might as well give the trophy to whoever wins the pole or leads the first lap because obviously they were the best from the beginning and nobody should’ve bothered challenging them. There’s no need to allow strategies, wrecks, pit road errors, mechanical failures, etc to be factors. Anybody who leads for a while should be the winner!!! (Then there will be freed up airtime at night that can be filled with evening soap operas, infomercials, and other various programs that some particular people….cough cough….prefer) Don’t be ridiculous.

Chandler dominated, but it counts only when the checkered falls.

He would’ve won but couldn’t keep his line at the bottom. He’s inconsistent but he’s still young and he’ll get there.

As a former loyal fan who bailed out when NASCAR stopped caring about the fans, went woke, cared more about celebrities than race fans and became almost unwatchable, I say, when NASCAR can find its roots again, fans will come back.

I guess you’ve never understood that sports have to adapt to what’s around them to survive. NASCAR has the oldest fan base of any of the major sports in America. When those fans die, if NASCAR doesn’t appeal to a younger generation, NASCAR dies. They HAVE to adapt. If them adapting means we lose “fans” like you who are stuck in the glory days of the 90s, then that’s a sacrifice I’m sure they’re willing to make.

Did they have to cut away from the first guy starting his engine because it wouldn’t fire or what? He held that switch for a while without anything happening before they moved on.

Nascar wonders why no one watches anymore…the races bounce around between 3 different channels and you have to jump through hoops to make sure you have all 3 channels. Also not sure why they are so many laps. Plenty can happen in 100 laps and it’s short enough to keep people interested. You don’t need 300 lap races
