23XI PLEASE Revive last year’s McDonald’s scheme because this year’s McDonald’s scheme sucks worse than their Ice Cream Machines

If this package doesn’t work, then just raise the horsepower to 750, remove the diffuser, change the spoiler height back to 4 inches, and make the spoiler black instead of clear

Remove the tapered spacer entirely.

Hey at least they didn’t aggressively interrupt Danica to get that Toyota ad in there. But wipers at a short track is going to look funny but aye, if it makes the racing better, I’m down.

Nope. But they said they’ve changed their first race to Talladega.

They should use this package at the intermediates too. Less DF means slower corner speeds/more off throttle time and less overall security in the car means that handling becomes more important and the aero effect less so. Less dirty air in the corner can only be a good thing!
NASCAR’s issue has been that they have tried to do too much themselves and that I think that attitdue changed at the beginning of last year when they tested the original design of this car at Charlotte and realized they were in trouble if they didn’t change it. So, they went to the teams and the teams basically saved their asses. They worked witth the teams again here and I think it will make a difference. Phoenix isn’t the best track so we probably won’t learn all that much until Richmond and CoTA. My hope is that if this improves things for these tracks, maybe they’ll try testing this same package at the intermediates too. They have to do something to make the cars less stable and cause less dirty air in the corners at the larger tracks too.
I’ve been saying this since MIS last season when I noticed that there were no passes for the lead under green. We saw pretty mucht he same thing at Vegas last week and late last season, I noticed that the aero issues of the 550 package were starting to show up for this one. Less downforce and drag does seem like the easiest fix and I believe it would work very well.

I wouldnt mess with the track that they fixed with these next gen cars

Reply
Warren Self March 11, 2023 at 2:27 am

I agree that the next Gen at Vegas basically looked like a dreadful 550 horsepower Gen 6 race.

The cars don’t need “less aero”, they need more power…

So the network asks itself, who can we find that was possibly one of the worst nascar drivers in history. There answer is to make every nascar sick by having Danica Patrick give her worthless point of view

They need to have at least one 50 min practice every race. They need to shake the car down and make sure everything was assembled correctly. I say 50 mins and two sets of tires.
