Hmm, Hamlin surrounded by a bunch of crew guys…Chastain standing on his own. Sounds about right…

JayTeeKay March 14, 2023 at 2:44 pm

Because Chastain was the one who walked over…

@JayTeeKay Then as crewmembers, walk away. It’s not your battle.

Reply
JayTeeKay March 14, 2023 at 3:17 pm

Crew members should be allowed to stand by their own car. They don’t have to walk away so Ross can have his private chat time.

Thomas March 14, 2023 at 4:04 pm

@JayTeeKay They weren’t “standing by their own car” they were standing by Denny like it’s a playground face off. I’m saying to let them talk it out 1 on 1, not 1 on 4.

Yea, the crew knew Denny being a Simp and all, that he wanted them standing there out numbering Chastain.

Come on just let the drivers settle it unless it affects other drivers.

I like that Denny was honest, but it may end up costing him. It was such a dumb payback though as Ross was going to finish outside the top 10 anyway. He should’ve saved it for later and then not admitted to it.

Yup he honestly told us he a child along with showing his fans don’t expect a championship. He’s too busy screwing him self over .

Denny would rather pay Ross back for whatever grievance, than finish 20 spots ahead of where he finished because of it. This is why Dennis will never win a championship lmao too focused on the wrong things

Never gonna let up that Ross Chastain owned him at Martinsville. Take the loss and move on

How does Hamlin’s not get fined.suspended.points docked for admitting he wrecked Ross Chastain????

David Johnson March 14, 2023 at 3:43 pm

@Joe M you must be young!!! Because you sure dont understand racing.. watch ..in the next few days nascar will penalize him.. then remember I told you so!!! So nieve

Brian D March 14, 2023 at 4:11 pm

I didn’t realize they wrecked

Reply
David Johnson March 14, 2023 at 4:30 pm

@Brian D when you hit the wall and your car is done what do you call that….

Reply
Nathan Chambers March 14, 2023 at 3:11 pm

Since Denny admitted it was 100% on purpose, something should be done for sure!

Casey Melvin March 14, 2023 at 4:03 pm

But if asstain did it no problem right?

Reply
Richard Steele March 14, 2023 at 4:15 pm

@Casey Melvin racing incidents and purposefully putting someone in the wall is different. Do what your gonna do but don’t admit it thats rule 1

Reply
Daniel Reach March 14, 2023 at 5:03 pm

@Casey Melvin tell me you’re a salty assumption making fan without telling me your one

The way Ross stood there all with his hands behind his back reminded me of how masvidal took out askren with a flying knee. UFC

Hamlin is still bitter that Chastain pulled a hail melon at Martinsville last fall to knock him out of the playoffs and Chastain making it

Larry Plummer March 14, 2023 at 3:29 pm

Maybe Denny will finally let this whole thing go that’s been a thing since season. Maybe take Ross off his list

Jeff Moleski Vintage ice racing March 14, 2023 at 4:03 pm

He said they talked and put this all behind them. Ross said he deserved it. Listen to Denny’s pod cast.

Nascar proving its still out of touch when in comes to penalties.

Reply

Gibbs should have fired Hamlin years ago already.

Larry Bob Outdoors March 14, 2023 at 4:16 pm

Nascar has to take a look at Dennys podcast admitting he intentionally wrecking the 1 car and hit him like they did Noah Grayson for intentionally wrecking someone.denny is a has been and does not like the younger drivers beating him! No sportsmanship on deny part!

Denny is a punk, he knew he was not going to have a good finish so he decided to give Ross a payback, only a year too late. With Denny its always somebody else’s fault.

Reply
James Eaton March 14, 2023 at 4:33 pm

This is why Hamlin has never won a championship and never will.

LionManatic March 14, 2023 at 4:37 pm

While, Denny probably has many more to payback Ross. This one to me, felt wasted and pointless. Like of all the times, of all the tracks to do it, why at a time that doesn’t really matter to Ross? Like sure it’s Phoenix, but at this point Ross and team already collected valuable data, and the race wasn’t at all important for Ross to win? Wouldn’t it be better if Hamlin got himself locked in first, then start making his life miserable, I mean Ross is still above him by a quite a bit in the traditional points (3rd to Hamlin’s 7th) and still at least a spot or two above him in the playoff seed. Or if Hamlin took Ross out, at a vulnerable time?

And instead of finishing a respectable 9th, 10th, 11th, or even 12th, 13th. He finished 23rd. Sure Ross finished behind him, but Ross is still out performing him on points.

I suppose if you are gonna pay a guy back, this is the way to do it. Always been a fan of the mentality if a guy takes you out in a regular season race, you get him back in the regular season. If a guy didn’t screw your championship hopes, you don’t screw his. Also like the way he doesn’t just turn him in front of a crowd, just drives him up into the wall. This is old school payback here. Sent the message and move on.

Peter Brownless March 14, 2023 at 5:34 pm

If you’re gonna have a payback then make sure you go all in. Matt Kenseth is the man!
