You don’t admit you wrecked someone on purpose. At least not on a podcast.

@Ed Dean agreed

At least NASCAR was fair about it

NASCAR being fair is rare to see

Countrybananas March 15, 2023 at 4:37 pm

Absolutely the wrong decision but whatever Hendricks still going to destroy you guys keep complaining and coping ya’ll won’t have any excuses this season. Also thanks nascar my driver has two wins but you just made the rest of the regular season pointless for us so I’ll just tune out until the playoffs. The fact you over penalized a team out of fear of them running away with this season is priceless and extremely obvious.

@MegaMonsterJam90 7A 4 races in is not “incredibly early”

@Countrybananasoooh boy. the guy telling others to cope is doing a heck of a lot of coping in this comment section. you’d be talking about how fair this penalty was if it was JGR

Reply
Jason S March 15, 2023 at 5:42 pm

@Countrybananas So, all of the other teams used legal parts and Hendrick didn’t so Hendrick should just get to cheat. Got it.

Reply
Countrybananas March 15, 2023 at 5:44 pm

@Caleb Fondren I’ve literally stated how unfair these new penalties are across the board especially in Brad’s case I’ve also said the penalty was excessive not unwarranted. JGR ain’t on anybodies radar especially when their drivers throw away races out of spite.

Countrybananas March 15, 2023 at 5:50 pm

@Jason S First of all week in and week out there’s not a single car on that track is perfectly legal that is the game trying to get the most out of what you have. Hendrick wasn’t even the only team penalized this week for it so I don’t know what you’re on about and next week it could be JGR. Do you understand that when you argue you jump from theory to conclusion with no causal link and thus aren’t saying anything other than a opinion? You have no clue what teams have been using and the reality is until they get caught it doesn’t matter. I’m here upset about the penalty system it’s got nothing to do with Hendrick and that’s pretty obvious when every other Hendrick fan is basically shrugging their shoulders because they know Hendrick is still going to win. When it’s your driver’s turn to catch an L2 penalty I can have no sympathy for you or I could continue to argue these rules are ridiculous given the context of single source parts.

He got caught with 1 thing, it’s almost certain there’s a ton more that will never be found. Knaus wasn’t able to get an previously unaccomplished driver 7 championships for no reason.

Miguel Barrero March 15, 2023 at 5:51 pm

He sure did, and he will keep cheating, no doubt about it.

In terms of standings, I believe this drops Bowman to 23rd, Byron to 28th, Larson to 31st, and Haley to 38th, at -40 points. I could be wrong about the exact placements, but either way this is both a huge L for Hendrick and means pretty much nothing at the same time, since Larson and Bowman are probably going to win at some point. Haley however could be in major trouble this season now.

AwesomeEli8 March 15, 2023 at 5:33 pm

I think Bowman is 26th ahead of Preece, Byron should be 31st ahead of Gragson, Larson should be 33rd behind Ware, and Haley is dead last in pts behind Jimmie, negative pts, and Chase moves to 25th

Oh how sad, my favorite NASCAR team gets penalized big time. I don’t even know what a louver is.

No chance arguing who ever put those louvers on those cars should be fired.

I hate this. About nascar they used to let the guys be engineers. That’s what made fun

Reply
Caleb Fondren March 15, 2023 at 5:42 pm

there isn’t enough money in nascar t
for any teams other than the top 2 to compete if they allow that again

Reply
Richard McCabe March 15, 2023 at 5:04 pm

It would be nice if NASCAR would explain what exactly was done when they issue these penalties! Teams have been having issues with fitment on some of the parts, so was it something done to make the part fit or something for an on track advantage?

Reply
Jason S March 15, 2023 at 5:17 pm

Richard, Hendrick showed up with modified parts. They showed intent to cheat by simply showing up with modified parts. Every team is having issues with fitment but Hendrick decided to try to cheat.

Reply
Countrybananas March 15, 2023 at 5:26 pm

@Jason S You would make a horrible lawyer you have no idea what forms intent lol

Reply
Jason S March 15, 2023 at 5:37 pm

@Countrybananas Lol. They showed up with modified parts to race with in direct violation of the rules. How is that not intent? Stop being a Hendrick fanboi and just admit your faves cheated.

WastdTrashPanda March 15, 2023 at 5:29 pm

Hendrick is going to appeal, and will win the appeal because the appeal board will be in his pocket, as always.

Reply
Joe Harris March 15, 2023 at 5:31 pm

They’ll appeal it will get reduced. Ran the race after part was taken by Nascar and still won the race.

Reply
Caleb Fondren March 15, 2023 at 5:41 pm

there’s nothing to appeal regarding the race itself. he keeps the win for the reason you just listed

Reply
GBuster March 15, 2023 at 5:33 pm

Eh HMS just appealed. The fines will be reduced.

Reply
jam jam's March 15, 2023 at 5:50 pm

i under stand the fine, but nascar car should show a side by side of the spec part to the modified part, so we can actually see what they did
