As a kid I heard Joy twice a weekend over the PA at Riverside Park Speedway and Stafford Speedway. What a blessing!
The 9 looked like he already knew the car, yet he only had been in it for a short amount of time. Taylor is skilled. I’ve never seen him race, but from comments and what I have heard, I see him running top 15 at minimum if not wreaked out.
Well he does already know the car quite a bit. He’s part of the Corvette Racing team in IMSA, which is why Hendrick and Chevrolet chose him to be the main testing driver for their Garage 56 Le Mans car (even though he’s not going to be racing it in June). So he has a lot of testing miles behind a Cup car on a road course.
Plus, don’t forget that this will be the first race in years without stage breaks. No more predictable cautions means guys are going to be tested, endurance wise. And who has the most endurance race experience? Jordan Taylor, who has won both the 24 Hours of Daytona and 24 Hours of Le Mans

Is it just me or do the cup cars seem faster than they did before even with less downforce? They looked slow last year and this year they look really good
Less downforce = higher top speed, slower cornering and more tyre degradation
