So today we are going to look more into how Motorsport Games has not only continued to screw over NASCAR fans, but also IndyCar fans. How Motorsport Games keeps getting worse!!! What does the future of NASCAR gaming look to you?

Motorsport games will find some way to fulfill the contract, after 2029, the nascar gaming landscape will be doomed, no nascar game will be released, ever, again.

At this rate they will not make another good nascar game again in til 2029 or til they some how get out of contract or company goes bankrupt til then I’m keeping an play nascar thunder 04,nascar inside line, nascar 14 and heat 3.

Nothing is going to beat Iracing since Nascar is a co operator and Sponsor for Iracing.

@A Teddy Bear if there was massive demand ea would be making nascar games

It is such bullshit that we can’t get a great NASCAR game outside of the product in iRacing. The recent world of outlaws game has been holding me over

Same, at least that’s a step up from the srx series, can’t say the same for ignition because all I’ve seen of it is videos, and that’s all I need to see

Saying they gave the 22 update for free was like something completely new but every company has done free updates for content but if you had to pay no one will pay

It will take another NASCAR Thunder 2003 -2005 Chase For The Cup for their reputation to go up at this rate.

I wish EA takes NASCAR again. They have been doing great F1 and Rally games since acquiring Codemasters.

I would go back to playing that game before even considering buying another newer NASCAR game

Honestly NASCAR games have more potential than any other genre, and of all the Motorsports in the world NASCAR has the best product to make a game with, and yet we haven’t had a good game in at least a decade and a half.

@Andrew Surowiec The problem that IndyCar has is the fact that formula 1 cars are similar and that series has way more momentum right now. I feel like indycar would struggle in the grand scheme of things to get a huge amount of popularity considering formula 1. NASCAR has no competition in stock car racing.

It’ll take something pretty darn magical like NASCAR Thunder 2003-2004 in order to get me to have hope in NASCAR console gaming again…..

Thunder 2003 was amazing I about damn near maxed out my career team in it

I think Monster Games will gladly return to NASCAR as soon as NASCAR gets out of this hell hole of a contract. They’ve gotten so much better since Heat, it’s insane, I think they can make a quality NASCAR game now with iRacing’s help
I mean, the World of Outlaws game has been the only motorsport game I’ve been actively playing on console since it came out last year, and I love it, amazing gameplay, real grassroots feel to it, hopefully they come back and we can give Monster a 3rd chance

GojiMan March 29, 2023 at 2:51 pm

Agreed man WOO is easily one of the best console racers you can get on the market today. The AI and the amount of accuracy in terms of how you are supposed to drive the car is amazing. I wonder what a nascar game by monster with Iracing’s help would look like

Here’s an easy fix, stop buying it. Stop giving them money. Wait for reviews before you buy. Im still on Heat 4 because I refused to pay for a crap game again and Heat 5 reviews weren’t good enough to earn my money, so Ignition sure as hell didn’t get me to buy. Let them go bankrupt. Do not support them financially. They spit in your face and it’s up to you to decide if you’re going to wipe it away or swallow it.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the pre-order take, it’s the single largest reason for the downfall of modern gaming imo, NASCAR or otherwise. Companies are enabled by pre-order culture, why finish the game by release when everyone has already bought it ahead of time? The day a large majority of us stop pre-ordering games full stop, I fully believe we’d begin to see gaming releases increase in quality.

Reply
Rex The Wolf March 29, 2023 at 2:20 am

Here’s the thing though as someone who analyzes sales generally around 5% to 15% percent of people pre order situation which isn’t enough to make profit. The real reason why game are being pushed out before their ready is simply because of patches a game at launch an a game months later can be very different experience launching a game doesn’t mean anything any. Before patches once a game was on disk or cartridge that’s it. Now it doesn’t matter.

Acrylic51Extra March 29, 2023 at 2:28 am

@Rex The Wolf You make a great point, the digitization of gaming has definitely played a huge part for sure, the idea of getting anything out at all and just updating/fixing it later is a huge piece of the puzzle. Live service seems to be the norm now.

Reply
Rex The Wolf March 29, 2023 at 2:35 am

@Acrylic51Extra it’s not even live service titles. Being able to patch games post launch allows developers to add new content a fixes problems. You don’t want to got back to the days of having 5 versions of street fighter two. But that ability to patch games can be abused.

I recently got nascar 15 on steam to relive one of my favorite games, other than not being able to have throttle control on my pedals its as much fun as I remembered and I still consider it the last half assed nascar game, also I see beamng as what will soon be the ultimate motorsports game in the near future when they start adding more racing mechanics

What I find is ridiculous is that they’re waiting until the NASCAR playoffs to release a 2023 update. Why the hell are we waiting until the end of the season to release that season’s update? Honestly this company is an absolute joke. J-O-K-E

I actually liked nascar 2015. I didn’t love it, but I didn’t mind playing it.

But I agree the older games were amazing. Especially the games that had dozens of tracks the cup cars didn’t go to. I grew up literally right down the street from Nazareth speedway and loved racing at it on my nascar games as a kid.

Devon Martinez March 29, 2023 at 3:37 pm

15 was really good driving wise. It glitched and didmt have much to it. But it raced good. The last fun high horsepower racing game imo.

You can tell how much they care in that video call. There is so much enthusiasm and care in that totally non-read script. Plus, he mentions the generously free update given to us peasants getting screwed over. I feel so bad for anyone who has ever given a hard earned dime to this game

Reply
Racer Rick Gaming March 29, 2023 at 3:09 am

You’re spot on with every point in this video. NASCAR needs to do everything possible to get out of this contract!

Reply
Eddie Rovnak March 29, 2023 at 12:15 pm

Ice, I would actually argue that this deal falls apart as soon as nascar finds someone who would be willing to take over the franchise. Mainly because there’s got to be something in the agreement that it has to be attracting some sort of revenue towards the sport… and with how inept Motorsports has been to this point, I’d be willing to bet that NASCAR has much better lawyers if need be.

Thank you for putting this out. I feel like ever sense EA walked away nascar games been unplayable or unrealistic. If I had a quality game like iracing, I would leave iracing for that game. The cost iracing is just to high and more depressing when your getting wreaked all the time.
