Pencil in Ty Gibbs for a 9th place finish next week a Bristol. He owns that position.

The long run cars vs short run cars plus the pit strategies made it a good one

With hypothetical points & averages taken to account (if not having missed 3x races), Josh Berry would roughly be about 19th in the standings (155.75 pts.). Putting him ahead of Gibbs, Briscoe, Bubba, Allmendinger, etc. for the time being. That’s without scoring a single stage point, limited Cup practice, limited Next Gen time, short-spent familiarity within Hendrick. Obviously he’s in a lightning-fast car and he knows how to drive, but there’s still something pretty remarkable about what he’s accomplished in one month, and it’s definitely not going unnoticed.

Of course I miss the race where Larson wins and is widely considered a good race.
